Three Sisters Tavern — Restaurant in Maple Grove Township

On the evening of August 6 2021 I stopped at the Kaleva Tavern for dinner. I ordered the 3 piece boasted chicken dinner with fries. The dinner included the salad and dessert bar. The salad bar was okay. The lettuce was fresh with 3 dressing choices. The add on options were minced tomatoes, thickly sliced cucumbers and dried out shredded cheese. There was also baked beans, pickled beets, pea & peanut salad, potato salad and Mac salad. The dessert bar was a joke unless you're a conissieur of watery jello salads and dubious bread pudding. I received a drumstick, thigh, breasqt and fries on my dinner plate. I took a bite of the drumstick. Immediately I spat it out as it was spoiled. I stuck my fork into the thigh and when I pulled the meat back blood began to pool. I cautiously tried the white meat and it seemed to be okay but I was over it. The fries were good but again over it.. I showed the chicken to the waitress who showed it to the cook and owner. Their response was to cut $3 off of my meal. Salad bar only is $8.99 and the meal was $11.99, including the salad bar. I think that I should only have been charged for my beverage and feel insulted by their treatment. They didn't even offer to replace the meal..they best hope that I don't get sick. I tipped the waitress over 15% as she was very kind and performed her job well. I will eat road kill and drink gutter water before I go there again. I recommend going to Traks over in Brethren. Excellent food at a fair price. That waitress should work at Traks as well because Kaleva Tavern doesn't deserve a waitress as...

THIS IS NOT A REFLECTION OF THE STAFF!!! THE STAFF IS AMAZING HERE. One day for our mechanics, we purchased one club sandwich and 3 ham and cheese sandwiches . It was amazing. My compliments to the cook. The two ladies serving were very friendly and helpful. Seemed to be right on top of things.
