Breakfast was amazing here! Totally worth the drive from nearby Indian River. A must stop to get something different in a cozy RUSTIC restaurant, completely made of wood! The portions are HUGE! I wish I took a side picture of the sweet French Monte Cristo sandwich my friend ordered, the pictures just don’t do it justice because they don’t show the layers of meat poured onto what we could only describe as heavenly fried funnel cake. It was beyond any single person’s capability to eat in one sitting unless they were huge too! ALL dishes ordered were excellent. I had the typical eggs, bacon, wheat toast, and potatoes (they don’t have hash browns, I asked). Another friend had a breakfast sandwich. All were excellent! Very friendly service too! Definately a must stop if visiting the area. Yes, you will lick the raspberry jam off the plate. It’s THAT good!

1. They said 15 minutes wait...it was 5..excellent 2. We ordered the cinnamon rolls in the pan, none of us like then..too bland and not enough frosting, same with pancakes..kinda bland...they comped us! 3. We had the following A. Avocado toast meal...4 stars B. Skillet, 5 stars C. I had eggs, bacon sausage and potatoes 5++ stars!!! Potatoes (home fries) are BEST IVE EVER HAD!!! D. Verizon omelette, 5 stars E. Monte Cristo sandwich..5+++ stars!!! We all had a piece and this is their crown jewel..highly recommend Atmosphere is fun and comfortable, help was excellent 5+stars I highly recommend eating here We drove from Higgins Lake and we'll be back!

Absolute gem "hidden" in plain sight! Have driven by numerous times but never stopped in until a recent recommendation from friends. And so glad we did! Even in mid-March they had a short wait on a Sunday morning! People know about this place! Great food with tweaks that put it over the top - candied bacon, vinaigrette on the arugula and pickled onions on the breakfast sandwich. Best I've had in a long time! The atmosphere and decor was great - just what you'd expect from a northern MI camp deli! We will certainly be back!

Here is my honest review trying the new camp deli from start to finish. We were not even seated yet and they where already trying to take the drink order, I would like to atheist sit down before I have someone trying to take my drink order , before I even know what is available. Seats are extremely uncomfortable. Went after 11 so I could get breakfast and wife could get lunch. I order a my food then wife went to order her food and was told they are not serving lunch. When clearly the social media says they serve lunch at 11 along with the menu they gave us to order from says lunch 11am to 2pm. She ended up ordering a monte Cristo. The food did come out quickly, however I do not know where the upscale part comes in. In my opinion food should be cooked correctly, and master that before you can call it upscale, it is certainly priced high enough for a breakfast 16.00 for 3 eggs that where ordered basted came out snotty, which is a big turn off for me. Another 20 to 30 sec eggs would have been perfect. Bacon was over cooked and potatoes where under cooked as I had several potatoes that where really hard and crunchy, if it was seasoned it was hard to tell as I tasted no seasoning at all. Also i understand and appreciate a clean environment, but think about what you are doing, the person that sat us was cleaning tables, great it is good to be clean in a food environment, but i absolutely hate it when i am trying to eat my food and they are spraying chemicals on the table very close to me misting in the air close to my food. I dont like to be tasting chemicals on or near my food, use a sanitizer wet wipe or sanitizer solution on a rag and bring it to the table there is no reason to be spraying chemicals in the air right next to me when i am trying to eat. Wife's monte Cristo was deep fried by the looks of the crust, and it was rather dark looking as if fryer oil is dirty or it was forgot about in the fryer. Was very strong on the cinnamon flavor to the point it was overpowering the entire sandwich. And the turkey and ham in the sandwich was still cold . Bread was rather thick a made sandwich difficult to eat. We at our meal , but from the time they dropped off our food we never had anyone stop and check on us or ask us how everything was. There are a lot of younger workers walking around in circles, but none of then seem to talk. The only time we seen our waitress after food was dropped off was when she brought the bill. Then tried taking the bill twice and we still had not put the money in it, not once did anyone ask us how are food was, but they sure seemed attentive to collect our bill as two people came over within 1 minutes of each other to take our money, wish we could have got that kind of attention, while we where eating. Bathroom were nice and clean, liked what they did with the floor. Overall it was just ok , but I would not call it up scale. We really loved coming to this place under the old owners, we will more than likely try it again in a couple months to see if our experience is the same or different. If it remains the same then we will probably not be back. Think there needs to be more experience on the grill to be able to tell if a egg is snoty. A breakfast place should be able to...

Edit: This Issue was kindly solved by an excellent lady named Judy Gunnarsson Drielts. She's the GM of the restaurant and made everything right. I received a full refund and a free breakfast as an apology. Honestly more than I could ask for. You're an amazing restaurant owner and I hope great things come your way.

I went to this restaurant 9/14/2025 and was brought my bill at 11:40 am. I've come to the restaurant for years, the food has been great, but on this day the service wasn't. We were practically ignored after we got our food even with us being done eating and my fiancee locking eyes with the waiter. They waited on the people next to us hand and foot but what's even better is MY RECEIPT SHOWS I PAID 63.60 AND WE LEFT A 0$ TIP BECAUSE WE WEREN'T PLEASED. THE PERSON WHO WAITED ON US GAVE HIMSELF A NICE GENEROUS TIP OF 12$ BECAUSE WHEN I GOT HOME I CHECKED MY BANK ACCOUNT, 75.60 IS WHAT IT SAYS THEY CHARGED ME. IVE BEEN LEAVING MESSAGES ON THE INQUIRY SIDE OF THINGS FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS AND NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO ME. DONT GO HERE IF YOU WANNA BE RIPPED OFF FROM THE WAIT STAFF. AND IF YOU DO GO HERE DOUBLE...

Unfortunately, this was not a great experience for us. The service itself was friendly, but the food was very disappointing.

We ordered the Cinnaminis, and they arrived cold. I had the biscuits and gravy, which were also cold, flat, and bland—definitely not worth $17 for half a biscuit with no flavor or freshness. It tasted like it came straight out of a bag with no seasoning at all.

My husband ordered the Monte Cristo. While it looked appealing when brought to the table, it was greasy, cold, and unpleasant to eat. The potatoes on the side were also cold, clearly pre-cooked long before our order. Nothing felt freshly prepared.

To make matters worse, as I was talking to my husband about our meal, the table next to us was also complaining to the waiter about their food being cold—so it wasn’t just us.

Overall, while the service was decent, the food quality was far below expectations. We left without finishing our meals and would not recommend...
