Maribel Country Diner — Restaurant in Maribel

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today and although the restaurant was very clean, the food was delicious with generous portions at reasonable prices, we were VERY disappointed in the poor service. There were only two, and then one other customer in the restaurant, seated at the counter. We were at a table by the window. The two female staff members were highly engaged in conversations with the people, then person, at the counter, and it seemed walking across the room to check on our satisfaction was too much to ask. It seems if you're a local or regular, you get 2 waitstaffs' attention, but if not, you're ignored. We were about 3/4 finished with our meal before our waitress asked if everything was OK. She did bring us a take home box, as requested. A few moments later, she just dropped the bill on the table and walked away. There was no request if we needed anything else, no "thank you" or "have a good day," just no communicatino with us at all. When my husband walked up to the counter to pay the bill, the same waitstaff member continued on with her conversation with the customer at the counter and didn't bother to speak to my husband at all. Just took the money and gave him his change. Upon exiting the restaurant, there was still no communication or "thanks for coming in," or "have a good day." We were still being ignored. We dined with you once before and had good service, but after today, I doubt we will return. The food was very good, but the service was inexcusable. If you want to grow your business, you need to treat all your customers with the same amount of enthusiasm as you did with your "buddies" at...

This was our first and last visit there. The food was good but our waitress was not friendly and made several mistakes to our order, including eggs done wrong, forgot the bacon and sausage, charged us for 2 cups of coffee when I was the only one who had one, etc, etc. Then i waited 10 to 15 minutes in between her correcting the errors, so i was eating one thing at a time. I understand people can have bad days and I was patient and calm, but It would have been nice if she had apologized even once or thanked...

Tables were dirty and no one wiped them down. The cook that came out of the kitchen and walked past to use the bathroom smelled like weed n yet he was back cooking food. You people don't understand the liability that is when you have people who are high on drugs cooking in a kitchen. I said something to the manager and she shrugged it off like it was no big deal..And my food wasn't really warm. Only ate it because I was hungry. Staff at the time I was in were rude. Me nor my family will be...
