I’ve been wanting to try this brewery out for a very long time, but it just doesn’t make sense to make the drive only for this. It’s about 50+ minutes from Asheville. When I was hiking in the area today, it was a perfect time to stop by.

Situated on an old farm, the space is beautiful. It has rolling acres and beautiful wildflowers. Plenty of parking. The indoor space had great music playing, but we opted to sit outside. If you are not under the porch area, which is small, you will be out in the middle of a field, which would be quite hot in the summer. We snagged some nice deck chairs.

I have always loved their beers/other drinks. They have some adventurous flavors and unique options that aren’t too kitschy. it’s like they actually use local ingredients and come up with intelligent combinations. Their marketing/graphics is also incredibly beautiful all the time. But it’s not a beautiful place – it is also amazing quality and taste.

I always love their topsy choices. Today they had a slushy with cucumber mint, but I opted for some thing that I had not had previously. They have some really interesting other beers/barley wines on draft. I had something with the word razz in it and it was delicious. Like everything.

I wanted to take some to go, but unfortunately you have to commit to four of kind. I know, sometimes Whole Foods sells them individually.

Unfortunately, the food truck seems to only operate Thursday through the weekend so we missed it. They do have some chips and ice cream on site if you need a snack. I’d love to see the...

While Fonta Flora Brewery may not be situated in Asheville proper, it's a must visit oasis nestled along the winding roads of Nebo, North Carolina. If you're planning a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway – which is a must-do experience – consider extending your journey to discover Fonta Flora Brewery.

This charming farm brewery, complete with a friendly brewery cat, offers an authentic and rustic atmosphere that's as refreshing as their beers. The most unique beer we tasted at Fonta was the refreshing and unique “Beets Rhymes and Life” saison. The 5% saison made with locally grown beets may not be for everyone, but it was certainly a unique experience. How often have you had a beets beer? My guess it not often.

Fonta Flora Brewery invites you to embrace the rustic charm of Nebo and experience the untamed flavors of their farmy, funky beers. If you find yourself on the Blue Ridge Parkway, make the journey to this hidden oasis of craft brewing – it's a detour well worth taking for a taste of the...

Such a great spot! Fonts Flora Brewery has an awesome beer selection - seriously something for everyone. The staff was so friendly … and patient as we sampled a few of their selections (again, everything sounds so good!!) The outdoor area is beautiful with tons of seating, and we loved hanging out in the milking barn - it’s way cooler inside and perfect for escaping the sun for a bit.

There was a pizza truck and a taco food truck while we were there, and both were so good. We ended up walking around the property for a while - loved that we could bring our dog … he loved it too!!! The whole place was just really peaceful and fun to explore. Great beer, great vibes, great views… we’ll...

Probably one of my favorite breweries I’ve ever been to. Some friends and I were making our way back from the mountains to Charlotte, and took a detour to stop here. Well worth it! On a nice day this place is impossible to beat with all the picnic tables outside and a food truck with some really good pizzas. The beer was fantastic, and the atmosphere and relaxation of sitting under an umbrella with good beer and friends is an adventure of its own. Can’t recommend this place enough! If you’re driving out west from Charlotte or even remotely in the area, this place has to be on the list of places to stop at.
