Marion Chinese Restaurant menu — Restaurant in Marion

I have been coming to Marion Chinese since the 90’s I grew up in the area and I want to say it is One if the BEST Chinese not just in Marion but in my opinion one of the best yet and I’ve had Chinese in NYC Brooklyn Bronx Queens New Jersey Philadelphia Atlanta Florida and all over South Carolina. When I say the food is amazing I’m not joking. Anytime I’m near home it is a MUST it’s one of the best memories of my childhood. Great food great selection and to top it off Mrs. Sherry is one of the sweetest ladies I know. I’ve been gone for years but every time this black man is in town and at her restaurant it’s like going to visit my own grandma but just with beautiful delicious Chinese food. If you’re ever in the area do yourself a favor and visit. I don’t know why the reviews are bad maybe someone was mad about something and lied but I’ve been here over a thousands time from this location and her old location and it never disappoints absolutely...

I went there today. The restaurant was extremely cold. For some reason, someone had turned on the air instead of the heat. Almost all of the food on the buffet was cold. No one seemed to be checking the temps of the hot bar. This is the second time time that I have been there and the food on the buffet is cold. It seems that if you do not get there early, you can expect cold food on the buffet and it is not replenished. I have been there twice now and experienced cold food. I have tried to contact DHEC to have them check the temps...

I didn't enjoy the food. Though flavorful, the execution wasn't on target. In MORE THAN ONE bite of food, I bit into sand and grit, an indication that something wasn't cleaned properly. The spiced steamed shrimp were, again, tasty. However, they were overcooked and therefore hard to peel. The sweet and sour shrimp was hard and cold.
