My opinion: If you support this business, you’re giving money to a woman who is rude, even to old ladies. Spend your money elsewhere!
Honestly, this woman who works there reminds me of “The Soup Nazi” from Seinfeld.
I have NO idea how this restaurant has such high ratings. I guess the food is fine, but the woman working behind the counter (thin with reddish hair), who I am told is the owner, is absolutely horrible to customers, in my experience and opinion. I have gone there twice. The first time, she was rude, scowling at customers and not acknowledging their pleasantries. Maybe she was having a bad day, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Again, absolutely nasty to customers, in my opinion. Two of elderly women said thank you for their meal, she ignored, scowling, and continued cooking. They assumed she didn’t hear. So, they shouted again. She scowled, and muttered “you’re welcome” in a nasty tone. The women said, “oh, I guess she did hear us” and walked out. I saw customer after customer come in and be treated rudely, in my opinion. I also, got treated poorly, even after leaving a 15% tip on a TO GO order.
All of that to say, in my opinion, eat here only if you want to give your money to someone who will treat...
Read moreI had read reviews about this place and was very excited to try it out being im local and love coffee shops (live in Dunmore). i was GREATLY disapointed. when we walked in, never got a “good morning” or “hi, how are ya?” we just walked up to the counter, looked at the board for about 10 seconds, and the lady there asked “do you know what you want?”, after being on her phone and fidgeting with something behind the desk. Told her our order, then she went back to fidgeting. No mention of the price, no thank you, nothing. She had an attitude the WHOLE time, acting like we were an inconvenience. so we hand her money, and go wait for our order. Her and the other woman making the coffee were so removed, they messed my mocha up, so i go tell the woman, and she takes it an POURS HERSHEY CHOCOLATE SYRUP IN MY COFFEE right in front of me. We got the Appalachian Blast sandwiches, wich are actually very good. cant taste the ramp aioli, but oh well. very disappointing experince, WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Whoever the ladies were, working at 11:00 am on Jan. Monday 12th, 2021 need to be reminded they are at work in the service industry. Not at home being inconvenienced. Coffee is...
Read moreThis is my favorite place to get a meal, cup of coffee, glass of wine, local craft beer, and bike repairs. It is a cafe, coffee shop and bike shop all in one. My favorites on the menu are the veggie burger and the tuna taco. I find serving sizes to be huge and I generally share a meal with another and get a cup of the daily soup as well. No worries for meat lovers, you can find lots of meat on the menu. The veggie burgers are house made (not that frozen boca burger stuff), the tuna is cooked perfectly seared on the outside and red on the inside. You may ask the cook to cook it more if that is your liking. Fresh veggies are served with all meals at your request. The bike shop/cafe is located one block from the Greenbrier Railtrail so it is a great place to take a rest stop on the route, or begin your trip on that trail or one of the many mountain bike trails in Pocahontas County in West Virginia. The rest room is big enough to allow you to change in our out of cycling or paddling clothes. Lots of the local professionals from hospitals, banks and insurance firms lunch there. It is family friendly, traveler friendly and...
