Mim's Kitchen — Restaurant in Marlinton

Planned and took a trip up to Snowshoe Ski Resort to enjoy the fall scenery. Checked out restaurants at Snowshoe and the surrounding are and found this hidden gem. We stopped at Mim's Kitchen on the way back and man was it well worth it. An outstanding family owned and run restaurant with some of the best down home cooking ever. It's a bit pricey (about $25-30 a plate, desserts are extra) but the excellent food, friendly staff, and country atmosphere makes it well worth it. This is a buffet style restaurant so get there before they open as I'm sure they may run out of some items as the line extends well out the door. When I was there, it was very clean. Food was delicious and portions were very big. Service was great. Seating was wonderful. Temperature in the restaurant was adequate,(not to hot or too cold). The owner came around and asked if we needed anything else. If we wanted refills on our drinks. I felt the price was a little high for this area for the people who lived here since most live on a fixed income. Yes I would very definitely go back here and eat again. My husband and I are out of towners and just so happened to stumble upon this local gem of a spot! We stopped here for lunch before heading out to fly fish. The food was wonderful, the place was cute, chic cabin, and the service was super friendly! People were wearing masks and distancing while standing in line which was great.
