Was our first time here. Had heard good things about the ice cream and food. We waited about 10 mins in line to order which was not bad at all as it seemed like a busy place and it was a gorgeous evening. That is unfortunately where the praise mostly ends. We ordered 2 togo baskets..1 being the fisherman's platter and a scallops basket...both with fries and slaw included(supposedly). We also ordered 2 sodas. Grand total for 2 seafood baskets and 2-12oz cans of sodas After a 15% tip was $87.31. We got our sodas, a nifty little buzzer light to tell us when it was ready and headed off to the rather tempting looking red Adirondack chairs on the gorgeous grass field in front of the establishment! I had assumed where it was busy that we had a 20- 30 min wait for 2 togo orders so we were not antsy at all. When 30 mins came and went and we hadnt heard anything..I figured it would be soon..it took another 27 minutes before our food came out and we were so hot and rather annoyed at that point we just wanted to get out of the sun. My fiance quickly checked and it appeared all was there so we got into our car to get the ac and out of the sweltering heat and head home to finally eat!!..Sadly about 10 mins into the drive I realized we had only gotten 1 coleslaw not 2 as we should have but had NO DESIRE to go back to get that so just drove home.. the pictures I share are the 2 baskets we received..the tiny one is the (scallops Basket..22.95) and the much larger one is the (Fisherman's platter..44.95) my basket has. Total of 9 scallops..4 of which looked closer to a Bay scallop than a sea due to how tiny they were..my fiance fisherman's platter he said was very good and he got the same amount of scallops as I did which didn't seem right considering he also had whole belly clams shrimp and a large piece of haddock, but I guess I know what NOT to order here ever again! All in all food was...ok..service was not so good though and The wait was not even CLOSE to worth the value we got! I would possibly try again but Most likely it would be Ice cream...

For the best ice cream in the galaxy (as far as I can tell) stop by.
This place should be called Aaron’s Ice Cream. It’s called Aarons Specialty on google maps. Look for the Ice Cream sign on Rte 10 with the image of a moose. Maybe they should name it to "Moose-tracks."
I go for the ice cream whenever I travel through Marlow, though others comment + on the food. It’s a really cute place in the middle of nowhere (sorry Marlowians) and worth a trip to leaf peep. Be warned though it’s last day of the season is usally around October 19th to sell “what’s left.” It’s open summer to autumn.
It’s located about ¼ mile before the center of Marlow, NH on Rte 123/Rte 10.
They close at dusk, thus the “dark” photos.
Be warned: The Kidee cones are big enough for me! The woman on the left in one of the photos is holding a Kiddee...
Read moreMy sister Karen and I had ice cream Sundays here last night what an incredible location to watch the sunset! We just loved all of the slate roof tiles that were from the owners grandmother's house that now announced the flavors of ice cream, toppings, and prices. The gift shop is a wonderfully eclectic mix a beautiful artistic items many with functionality such as the bird houses they are just $40 each. There is seating at picnic tables or in wonderful rocking metal chairs. We just loved eating our ice cream and watching the beautiful Western View as the sun set. Definitely a place that you should visit if you like cool gifts and especially if you like ice cream,...
