Honestly I wasn't that impressed with the catfish basket that I ordered. The fish was a little overcooked. There hush puppies were rock hard and dry. The Cole slaw tasted like it was starting to turn sour. The fries were okay. And I didn't really care for the house made sauce all that much I added tobasco sauce to it to give it a little kick and still didn't like it that much. And it was almost fifteen dollars for the basket of crummy food and a drink so I probably won't return. I tried it again today against my better judgment. And my opinion hasn't changed much. The food was over cooked and almost burned. The fries were loaded with salt. The burger was really greasy I had to dab it off with paper towels. The chicken strips are what was over cooked. And what is with that nasty sauce? It's like just a bunch of crap that threw together into a concoction to make something similar to thousand island dressing. I'm new here and have eaten there twice so far and both times was a big flop so needless to say I won't...
Read moreWe had just paddled 9 miles on the Buffalo River in Arkansas and we were starving. I quickly pulled up the restaurant reviews for the Daisy Queen in Marshall, Arkansas. The reviews were great and we headed to Daisy Queen for dinner. Our burger, cheeseburger, onion rings and sodas were delicious. Everything is cooked fresh and the hamburgers were handmade patties, no frozen patties served here. If you are in the area to paddle on the Buffalo River, we highly recommend a meal at the Daisy Queen in Marshall. You do need to allow 20 to 25 minutes once you place your order for your food to be cooked. I promise you it is worth the wait. Our regular burger, cheeseburger, onion rings, and two medium sodas with tax and...
Read moreReally fun old fashioned place to stop on vacation. I had my first Flavor Burst ice cream cone in about 20 years! There are pool tables and arcade games in the back. The young women working were friendly and brought our food out to us, which was nice of them. Didn't love the onion rings--I'd get something else. Also I went with a vegetarian friend who ordered the "vegetable sandwich"--be aware that means it's just a hamburger bun without the hamburger. There are no vegetables except the lettuce/tomato you'd get on a burger but no patty. I'd still recommend popping into this nostalgic place for...
