Passed this gem heading from Asheville airport to visit our sons in college in TN. Smelled the BBQ and made a U turn. One look at the pistol smoker out front and you know there’s something good going on here. The place is half guns and bow shop/ half bbq restaurant. Walk up and order, they call your name when it’s ready. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. The place was full of locals, all on their lunch break, good ole boys nice as can be, super friendly. BBQ was Good! We had Pulled pork and ribs, both excellent.. garlic bread was the kind that you’ll be day dreaming about for weeks after eating it. Perfect fries and beans. Lots of bbq sauce options that I believe are made in house and I think they sell there. Absolutely would recommend this place. We will be stopping in again on our next trip to TN

Great hole in the wall BBQ on our motorcycle ride. Everything you'd expect in some great BBQ. We opted for chicken. Helpings were generous. My wife loves the okra. I would only warn that the parking lot is far from motorcycle friendly. Gravel with a steep rutted incline to Asheville (NE) and while not as steep to the SW, it does have a few aggressive holes to be aware of. The lot has a pretty good incline for those heavy touring bikes. Be safe and slow and you should have no issues. Definitely glad we stopped

Just pulling up to the smell of meat smoking was a delight! I got the beef brisket sandwich and fries. The brisket was smoked perfectly! The sweet and smoky bbq sauce was amazing! Plenty of seating, there's tables inside and some picnic tables outside. We heard about the fish fry on Friday's and can't wait to give it a try! If you're looking for real pit smoked bbq, this is the place!

With all the ratings out there how can I provide this spot with a well deserved rating? 1st off I didn't seek this place it found me. I was looking to build a home nearby with my family. And while leaving we came to a stop and with windows open.. glory wrang in. We saw a smoker rolling and a bbq sign and why not with the smell of hickory, we were sold. Dont be fooled by the out side appearance, it is a clean and mind you mouth watering and satisfying bbq spot. Food came out fast from the pick up window. Grab it and bring it to your table. (This is the important part). The food is amazing, like how is this possible at this location... but that's the glory they make it work with clean ac area to eat with TOP NOTCH FOOD. My family will eat here as long as we can, because they deserve the best chance with the food they provide!!!! Cya soon!

P.s. we purchased another pint of chopped pork to take back to Columbia SC. And they gave us ice for our cooler!?! I wish I lived near by...until I do, may you enjoy what I can't....

I was so excited to try them when I walked in the door, as I LOVE good BBQ and this place had a couple good reviews. Unfortunately, outside of a friendly order taker, I have nothing good to say about them.

I ordered a 1/2 rack of Country Ribs and my daughters split a Country Ribs plate and had sides of Mac N Cheese. All should be staples of good BBQ places and always should be great.

Well, my 1/2 rack could have been used to repair shoes. EVERY single piece was burnt to the bone and dried out. I have truly never had ribs that were that bad. It was almost like they had to work to make them that awful. My kids ribs were very slightly better, but still very dry/burnt. They enjoyed the Mac and Cheese, but it was provided in a container about the size of a shot glass, so two spoons and it was gone.

I will never return here again and highly recommend you find better food ANYWHERE else. . . even a convenience store...

I review this place several years ago, and my review was not very kind--because the food was bad that day. A new day has dawned and this review is very positive. I ordered the half slab baby back rib plate and I am sad I did not order the full rack. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. These bones were more meaty than the baby back ribs I am used to seeing elsewhere. These are almost as meaty as St. Louis Style. The sauce has just the right tang. I am a collard greens fanatic, and I ordered a double portion. They are salty, brothy and slightly spicy--which is perfect for these greens. My only complaint on the greens is the portion size. It seemed like the 2 servings of greens would barely make a half-serving elsewhere. Service was fast and friendly. This place also doubles as a hunting and fishing store and they are very weapon...
