If it wasn't for Houston Life Show on Channel 2 I will never be able to find this place or know about this place! I spent $85 for four people when it comes to brisket it's way too pricey I know they take a long time to cook it but the brisket is delicious if you want it lean and be very lean and tasty if its moist boy talking about perfect and delicious brisket but I don't think it should be $22 a pound it's way too much compared to Pappas BBQ and Spring Creek BBQ & Damaris BBQ is my first time to pay such a high price BBQ brisket I originally wanted to come to try the tri steak beef brisket BBQ but they ran out very fast if anybody wants to try that which is the same price as the brisket if I was y'all I will go earlier and unfortunately it's only on Saturdays they serve that! You do have to stand in this line I hate to go there when it's raining because if you stand in this line you'll get soaking wet and if you want to spend your time eating ribs or sausage or your brisket meal there's three patio table you can only use! They do have can sodas and potato chips. They use Italian company to supply the meat from College Station. But I know one thing I don't like the white bread because it's a little too hard not fresh! They add a little spice on the churros Bean but I also noticed it is not homemade they use Bush can brand beans and adds ingredients into it but that stays very good:-)! Cannot comment about the corn because they ran out but the potato salad is good I like it alot :-)! For me this place is a little too pricey with no air conditioning or fans especially you have to eat outdoors and in the winter time it'll be too cold because there will be no heater but they do have this huge 2 big BBQ Pit I ever saw it is an interesting place :-)! Very laid-back Country Place :-)! I did not see no public bathroom anywhere :-(! There was bugs getting onto my food not because of the restaurants fault but that's Mother Nature because when the fly come over or the black bug I had on my platterand tree seeds landing on my food talking about just like having a picnic outdoor in the woods! I just had this cute little experience where the ladybugs scared that they allow me because I thought it was a wasp flying all over until it's landed on my clothes it did not want to go away but it was amazing moments I love ladybugs :-)! There is a wonderful sweet cashier who did try to take excellent care of us and because of that I wanted to give her a tip they do accept tips there's only three employees in this trucks food stop to take your order and to fill your order they are all friendly :-)! One of them was the chef the other one is the owner name Joey and a very nice lady is the other one. I hope that they will get enough business that would they would open a restaurant where everybody can enjoy and feel comfortable:-)! Their menu is written on the paper but I was surprised it was no dessert like they advertised on Houston Life Show! I hope that y'all enjoy your meals :-)! Have a great day now :-)! I do want to say they don't have a disable sign or have a designated disabled parking but you can park there but it will be hard for anybody that's on the wheelchair to get up that ramp because there is no way you can get up there unless you can step on it because it is a...
Read moreMy family and I recently enjoyed visiting Joey, the Celebrity Pitmaster at his Victorian's BBQ restaurant! And it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked up to the ultra-cool black brick building, the aroma of smoky BBQ filled the air.
The menu offered a tantalizing variety of options, we had the mouthwatering tender creole ribs and sausages, the succulent moist brisket and turkey breast were absolutely delicious, and as for the tri-tips? We can see why Joey is the reigning Texas King of Tri-Tips! His meats were perfectly smoked, juicy, and infused with that smoky flavor that elevates his BBQ to the next level. We were not disappointed!
The side dishes were equally impressive. Kelly's gooey Mac-and-Cheese was creamy perfection. And the sprinkled Taki topping was addicting! We had to ask for seconds! It was THAT good! My favorite was the refreshing cucumber salad which offered a zesty crunch to every bite. The savory beans had a hint of sweetness to them. The tangy and creamy potato salad was to die for, and the corn's bold and vibrant flavors stood out!
The service was top-notch, and Kelly and Joey made us feel right at home. After one conversation with Kelly, it is evident that Joey's sweet wife is the heart of this place! Their welcoming demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile will keep customers returning for more BBQ! If you are around the Waco area, Victorian's BBQ is a must-visit, just a 15-minute hop and skip away to Mart, TX. We can't recommend this...
Read moreMy son and I came out on a Saturday to check out the newest BBQ spot near Waco. We ordered a little bit of each of the meats Joey had for the day (brisket, creole ribs, sausage, turkey breast, and tri-tip) plus greens, Mac n cheese and the creole corn.
The brisket, turkey, and tri tip were all moist, tender and had a very balanced flavor of seasoning and smoke. The whole family can enjoy any of those! The sausage link is a good quality link from a local supplier. The ribs are seasoned with his creole rub so they have red pepper which some people may not be able to enjoy. They are just the right texture and tenderness where the meat pulls off the bone clean when you take a bite. The greens were tender but not mushy with a good flavor. I did add a little salt to mine. I only got one bite of the Mac n cheese because my some wouldn't surrender any more than that. The creole corn was the star side for me. It's a corn maque choux that you shouldn't skip if spicy cream corn is something that sounds good to you! The bread and fixings are self serve in a cold table after you go through the line.
The building looks great and has a great atmosphere for a couple or group of 6-8 to make the drive to Mart for some high quality BBQ. The staff are all super friendly and Joey took the time to visit with customers and take pictures with those that asked.
We'll be back and bring the rest of the family when we make the short drive from Waco...
