A place where you can go see Kenny Rogers and Taylor Swift.
I am glad I stopped in. I drove all the way from NJ to OK and decided to take a small detour into town to explore and eat. I am glad I did. The locals treated me like family. This one nice older gentleman in particular that looks like Kenny Rogers or a skinner version of Santa paid for my meal. The waitresses/bartenders are also lovely. They love to joke around and were so nice and polite. There is this one younger waitress that looks like Taylor Swift with glasses.
Confession: I am a minority (Asian). Sometime I am a little skittish about driving through the backwoods/boonies (think Texas chainsaw massacre). However, this trip is telling me that my fear about rural Americans not welcoming in outsiders are irrational. If anything this trip shows me that small towns (especially Martinsville) is what makes America beautiful. I am putting this bar and this town on my rest stop the next time I travel...

I just missed the kitchen closing, but when the bartender found out we drove a few hours to get there and we were hungry, she offered to make us some sandwiches. The chicken sandwich and fries were really good, and I'm not saying that just because we were hungry. Very tender inside and a tasty crunch outside. Fries were cooked perfectly. The alcohol shots are poured a little short, I had Jameson on the rocks. Food, service and room is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bar is on main street in the small town.
