Buon Gusto Pizzeria & Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

This is the best pizza in the area. we live in southern Lancaster, but I used to drive past here on my way to work in Bel air. I don't do it nearly enough anymore, but we used to meet my parents here as it's halfway between our two houses.

Pizza has a great flavor. It's not a super thin crust, but the cheese is really thick and has an excellent texture. Pepperoni is wonderful, sausage is great topping. Awesome pizza.

Staff is always nice and friendly. They're always very helpful.

Several years after I wrote this review, I was diagnosed with celiacs. I wrote them two emails to doing what level of cross confirmation they were able to eliminate.

They never responded.

I wrote from one email address, then sent the same message from a different addy. Both times I was met with silence.

That is not ok guys. If you can't meet my needs, I understand. But it's not ok to leave me on delivered.

I was recently diagnosed as having celiacs disease and need to be very strictly gotten free with no cross contamination. I tend to visit you guys about once a month, as it's halfway between my mom and my place and we use it to catch up.

With my new diagnosis, I know you have gluten free options, but I'm curious if you guys have the ability to prepare it without cross contamination? (Wiping the area and/or using a different part of the kitchen, using fresh utensils, using a new tub of mayo for gf subs, grilling on foil, using a fresh pizza cutter, etc.)

If not, do you have other suggestions for options you offer that might be able to be...

We used Buon Gusto's catering for our son's wedding. We ordered 8 trays of Baked Ziti and Chicken Alfredo Tortellini. Both dishes were delicious and there were ample amounts of pasta in each tray. The guests raved about the food and kept asking who made it. Kati was so easy to work with and everything was ready to go at the designated time! Highly recommend Buon Gusto for your next special occasion!

My family and in laws have been eating here every Friday night, give or take a few Fridays, for the last 10 years. We do not live near-by but in the Harford County area so we make the drive specifically to eat here. A few things I have picked up over the last decade.

1. Family first! Family owned restaurant with a wonderful history that is embedded in the place. 2) Delicious food with high quality ingredients. Their homemade ciabatta bread is mouth watering and fresh. Tip: Order the cheese steak on Ciabatta! 3) They will customize pretty much anything for you, just ask politely! 4) Friday nights can get insanely busy whether you are dining in or carrying out. Mistakes can happen, and they have for our family at times but Kati, Lorenzo, or Benedetta ALWAYS rectify it. They are apologetic and fix their mistake. As a customer, I give them grace and am understanding because they are usually slammed. Slammed because their food is delicious and customers keep coming in or calling on the phone to place an order. A tale tell sign of a good place. Try them...

Ok when you pull up the area is very nice and safe and thays hrd the find in 2024. After pulling in the parking lot you see rows and rows of space grwt for big trucks anything smaller then 18 wheelers. The parking lot is very clean no trash or random trees and bushes. The store front is very well done they just got a make over so it has that warm welcome feel. The staff and I mean all of them from front to back of the house are all very nice and friendly. You order at the front and then take a number and find a seat. They bring the food out to you and I must say I been to 7 country's and you can't find food this good anymore . First bite will give you a flash bac of the best time of your life. If you had a horrible life it will rewrite your brain and give you made up the spot happy memories. The price of the food is the only thing better then the food who knew it could get great food and a great price in today's world. It's one of those spot were you only take a selected group of friends and family. I have been in the area and drove a hour just to eat there. Most if not all the food taste like some hunted down angel and grinded up there wings and mixed it with orphan tears just amazing on so many levels bring your friends, family, coworkers, Daye night or even your ex wife you will not be let down. One day i will send there food to a lab to find out what secrets they put in the food to make it so perfect ingive them...
