After coming here for 2 years, I will never come back again after last night. I showed up with a group of 40 people after giving a reservation 2 weeks in advance and serval phone calls days before we showed up to make sure everything was good. They assured me every time I called that our party would be no problem. We arrived by boat at 6pm and was seated right alway. They gave us one server for the entire night. After it took almost a hour for everyone to get their drinks and order a couple appetizers, we told the manager, Jeff, one server isn't enough and he agreed to help and told us they were short staffed. We said that's fine everyone is ready to order and we would put it all on one check to make it easier for our one server. The appetizers came out sporadic along with our entrees. Over the next 2 hours, some people were getting food while others weren't and this is when the problems really started. Some girls in our party food was cold, undercooked, and the shrimp on the seafood platter was inedible. While they wanted it changed, appetizers kept coming out, more then we ordered, and other people in our party stated they haven't even ordered yet cause our one server couldn't handle everything. By this time Jeff was gone and would show up here and there but didn't help with ordering or food at all. After 2 hours of mayhem, half of our party never got an entree or had to send it back and never got a replacement and appetizers kept coming out. Since we didn't plan or staying this long, members of our party had to leave and told the server to just give them a bill so they could pay and leave for what they have gotten. This only made more things confusing and again Jeff didn't help with this at all. By the end of the night we were all disgusted and Jeff agreed to take half off our bill and blamed the slow service on everyone ordering at different times and different checks which was not the case. We had it all on one and the bill was way more to the food we received. Then they had the audacity to give us a couple more bills that they said was not on the original. Sadly we will never go back and this was the first time many of the people in our party were there. At the end of the night we paid $300 and made sure our server received a $100 for doing all she could to help us. The oysters were very good along with the seared tuna. With better management this place would be the best in town. All they had to do is let us know they couldn't handle our reservation before we got there. Or at least when we got there and we could of walked to riverwatch. Sadly since we all showed by boat, many people in our party had to uber back and Jeff and his crew didn't really seem to...
Read moreI actually should do two reviews -- one with 5 Stars and one with 1 Star! We made a reservation well in advance for our group of 17 women golfers. When we arrived, they had no record of it, but they did set us up. It didn't get better from there. As always -- the parking "fight" between the Tuna and the restaurant across the street is never a good way to begin what should be a pleasant experience. However, shuttle buses transport patrons. The place was packed, which is the sign of a good restaurant. However -- they are SO understaffed and that resulted in more frustration! The young man who waited on us was quite pleasant and tried his best (when we could get his attention!) However, the drink order took over 30 minutes to arrive -- including water -- (totally unacceptable, even though our waiter kept coming over and advising that the drinks were "on their way"!). Tables around us, who arrived after we did were getting drinks and food and we were still sitting there waiting for water! (Same waiter.) We noticed people at other tables going up to the bar themselves to get their beverages. There was insufficient silverware on the table and we decided to get up and try to find some ourselves so whenever the food finally arrived, we wouldn't have an additional wait to get utensils! When we were looking around, we asked one of the staff and she said, "I can find you some plastic knives and forks." REALLY? We had to go overboard to get someone's attention for additional drinks. FINALLY OUR FOOD ARRIVED. Now here's the 5-star portion -- The food was wonderful. Would we come back again? I doubt we'll return! And, that's a shame. NOTE TO CRAZY TUNA OWNER: I know your business is booming -- but there's something terribly wrong with the way your restaurant is managed! Somebody needs...
Read moreWorst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They had a cover charge of $10 for the band playing on a Sunday afternoon. The security guard told us we did not have to pay if we were just getting dinner and not there for the band (band started at 4 and we got there at 2:30). We went to the hostess table, were seated, had a round of drinks and appetizers when security came over to us and asked us to buy a wrist band or we had to leave. We told them security at the door told us we did not have to buy a wristband if we weren’t staying. They insisted that we buy a wrist band, interrupting our good time and dinner. Never mind that we are paying a good amount of money for food and drinks, they wanted us to leave unless we paid for a wrist band. After arguing with them about this, they told us that if we didn’t want to stay for the band we should have eaten dinner inside! That’s what a hostess is for! We had no idea that we needed to sit inside. Worst communication and service! They ended up bringing the owner out and after we explained the situation with him, he was perfectly fine with just letting us leave without finishing our meal. After looking around we saw a few tables of people without wristbands but we were singled out. We paid for our appetizers and left. Will never return to...
