Eastern — Restaurant in Maryland

This place actually makes fried rice correctly. Most places I’ve found in the Waldorf area make their rice using some form of yellow rice. Eastern actually has fried rice you can eat as a main course. The other dishes are basic carryout items like, General Tso’s, Subs sandwiches, Fried Shrimp, etc. You won’t find anything brand new here but the dishes they serve are better then the other carryout places in the area.

The owners are also friendly and seem to understand the importance of their customers. I’ve had to change my order at the last minute a few times and was happy to not have to deal with rolling eyes or a bad attitude. It’s sad thay this is such a norm at some carryouts in this area that when a restaurant dosnt do this it’s considered unusual.

Prices are also very reasonable and they don’t skimp on the portions. Im a big guy but the shame and regret I feel when trying to eat an entire entree is too much to handle (but knock yourself out if you...

For the last 10 years, I have walked in and been greeted by the friendly gentleman behind the counter. I'm embarrassed to say he recognized me by my order that's how much I stood by this location. Sadly I think we might need to find a new go-to place. The staff and the recipes seem completely different. I usually get beef and broccoli with shrimp toast. About 6 months ago I noticed my order tasted a little different but was still good. FOOD GOOD! COMMUNICATION...NOT SO MUCH. I've always been pleased with the food here. The shrimp fried rice w/ extra shrimp is delish. The lo mein is excellent. But my favorite is Hot & Sour Soup. Although my latest experience with Hot & Sour soup wasn't so good. I ordered via phone, my order was repeated. I picked up my order, my order was repeated. I got my order home...NO Hot & Sour Soup.
