I ordered lunch for pickup before 1100 online. They open at 1030 which is nice if you are an early commuter and want lunch early. I ordered a salad bowl with chicken and all the fixings. I also ordered a side of elote and chips and salsa. It was ready when I arrived though it took a couple of minutes for someone to notice me standing at the register. It smelled wonderful. When I opened everything up, my disappointment began. They gave me a rice bowl, not a salad bowl. While the size was large it was mostly rice. The chicken was delicious. The rice, however tasted like the instant rice you buy from the supermarket. Not good. There were barely any veggies. I had requested red cabbage as an add-on to my salad but they put it and the watery sour cream in side containers. I understand putting the sour cream in a side cup like that considering it was so watery, but why the cabbage? The cabbage was delicious, it had been made with some sort of sauce. This wasn't notated on the menu. There were maybe three large pieces of pepper and no onions that I could see. There was a little bit of cheese but probably less than an eighth of a cup total. The pico de galló was not great and not flavorful. The salsa which I ordered was supposedly their hottest but it wasn't hot at all and not tasty. The chips were and odd mixture of what looked like commercial corn tortilla chips and overcooked and too thick handmade flour tortilla chips. Neither were good. The elote was delicious. I have mixed feelings about trying them again. Maybe their other dishes are better. The chicken was very good, so it's possible. Just be careful if you order delivery or pickup because you may not get what...
Read moreI've gone here probably 5 times since the place opened 5 months ago. I really think the one negative review above must be about a different place. It's not the Fiero's I know.
Here's what you need to know:
Food is overall pretty great. The meat is high quality and the taste is decent. I have noticed that if you get something without sauce it's going to taste too dry (unless it's the pork). One commenter suggested this is because they don't offer sour cream and that makes sense.
Also, Fiero's puts A LOT of meat into their burritos and tacos. Almost too much in my opinion, but if you like meat, you're going to like their burritos and tacos. For most people, two tacos will be enough for lunch, and three might be too much.
I like the salads the best. I do wish they had a few more toppings for the salads, but overall they are pretty good.
Price is on the higher side for a fast food meal. Figure a steak salad, or a steak rice bowl and a drink runs you just under $11. If you get chicken tacos and water, you can get lunch for right...
Read moreThe worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food was cold, dry, and stale. I ordered a chicken burrito. The chicken is pulled/shredded in thick layers, very dry, and lacking flavor. It left a dry film on the roof of my mouth. Further, there was a large chicken bone in my burrito.
Very little variety of what you can put into the burrito. Pretty much just Salsa, Guac, and Cheese. No Beans, and for those who like it (I don't) no rice. They do not heat up the tortillas properly, leaving them cold and dry -- making it difficult to wrap it properly.
DO NOT ORDER THE CHIPS! The Chips are stored on a shelf in a paper bag. They are stale, yet at the same time still moist and wet with cooking oil.
Small Drink Selection.
You're better off going to Taco Bell. This place looks like it has a number of health code violations going on. Very dirty, the staff looked disinterested. I visited on 7/21 at 3:30pm. Never had I so quickly regretted my dining decision. I threw away over half the food, and I'm still very,...
