I went to this specific location to place an order for my daughter’s quinceañera, I spoke with an employee named Yeimy, who claimed to be a manager, later on I found it shes WAS NO MANAGER, she just likes to say that she is. Nonetheless, I explain to her/show her a picture of the cake I wanted, she seemed so uninterested in what I was saying, when she did decided to speak she told me that my cake design wasn’t “ cute” and that she didn’t think it was going to look nice!! I told her it was how I wanted my design and I was paying for what I was asking. She stayed quiet, and gave me an ugly look. Despite that I decide to go along and place my order to what she said I had to pay in full CASH! I made half the payment and came back the following week to make the rest of the payment. After further consideration I decided I didn’t want to get my cake done there because of the service I had received from her, I decided to go and cancel my order, YEIMY again DIDNT even greet me, she saw me and she went straight to get my ticket ( which I found very strange) I told her I was there to cancel my order and she said they wasn’t going to be able my money back ($820.00) because they didn’t have it! I said excuse me!!!! I’ll like my money back the same way I gave you my money! She proceeded to tell me “ DONT COME IN HERE DEMANDING NOTHING YOU WONT GET IT” I said i will get my money you best believe I will, she said “ oh well than you can stand here all day” and walked away!!!! THE SO CALLED OWNER CAME BACK OUT, didn’t introduce himself at all until after, he said “ take a check instead and leave” i said no I gave your business cash!!! I expect cash in return! He said “we don’t have that money I don’t know what to tell you” I told him I will call the police his response was “ do whatever you like” AND WALKED AWAY, I stood there waiting to see exactly what they were going to do and he comes back with an envelope full of cash!!!! I proceeded to ask if that’s how he treated his customers and his response was “PEOPLE LIKE YOU, YES” Herson (ANOTHER SO CALL MANAGER) begin yelling at me and told me to take my money and get out of the their business!!!!! I WAS DISGUSTED BY THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AT THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION!!!!!!! Hispanic owned and they treat their Hispanic customers this way! I wouldn’t recommend this location to my worst...
Read moreI bought a variety of things on my first visit. It was about 2p on a Saturday when I stopped in. I bought 2 turnovers - one cherry, one apple, a chocolate croissant, 2 pieces of key lime pie, and, unfortunately, 2 smoked salmon bagel sandwiches.
The pastries were all good, but nothing special. I'd give them a 4.
The smoked salmon bagel sandwiches failed, utterly. My guess was that whoever made them had never ordered or eaten one somewhere else. Each was served in an entree-sized styrofoam box.. By the time I walked them to the car, and then into the house, the sandwiches had scattered themselves to the furthest reaches of the inside of their respective boxes. As I reassembled the sandwiches, I found cream cheese spread at the thickness of latex paint, although not even totally painting each side of the bagel. In my life, I've ever had a smoked salmon sandwich with so little cream cheese on it - literally the depth of paint, but not totally covering the surface. Then I picked up the pieces of smoked salmon (the thickness of smoked salmon in a pre-packaged serving at the deli - about the thickness of a crepe) and tried to arrange them to cover each half of the bagel. I ran out of salmon before being able to cover even a single layer on each half bagel - kind of reminiscent of the cream cheese. Then I scooped up the onion and found that I had enough for one side of the sandwich. All this for only $7.50. They certainly did not lose money on this sandwich, but I think they've lost a sandwich customer. This sandwich was an embarrassment. If cost containment is why they make it this way, they should instead charge $10.00 and make an actual sandwich. The sandwich they chose to make gets a 1, and that's generous compared to the ingredients they misted on...
Read moreOur family has ordered more than a dozen specialty cakes from Passion Bakery over the past ~5 or so years. We've always been satisfied with their products, but the past three months have been consistently disappointing. Given the high price of their baked goods (2-3 times more expensive than Teeter or Giant custom cakes), we felt like we had to post a review after three failed purchases. What's worse is that you'd expect a family-owned bakery with high prices to correct any errors they might make--nope. The work ethic and quality have significantly changed in the past few months--they still charge double to triple prices compared to other local bakeries, but for sub-par goods that they do not stand behind. Recent cakes have been dry, and their cheesecake recipe is droopy/runny--not at all what you'd expect a gourmet cheesecake to taste like. Further, their decorating artist must have retired because.their most recent creations look like a 2nd grader wrote on the cake. As you can see by the attached photo, the writing looks like a young child completed it--one who did not know how to spell "Chloe." They unsuccessfully tried to correct it. “17th” is not centered and looks weird. This is not the kind of quality we expect for a $42 custom cake. When we complained to the bakery, we received no resolution. Take your business elsewhere, and you'll likely be able to spend far less for much...
