I walked in, ordered a holiday spice cold brew coffee latte and wa given a normal coffee, was all good cause it was coffee. but we waited for another 10 minutes for my mothers coffee who she ordered before me, 10 other people got their orders before she did. Then I looked down at my phone and there was marker on it, then I looked at my hands and they were green. My mom VERY politely asked what kind of marker they used on their cups and the lady responded “Well I don’t know, it’s not permanent.” Very snarky, UN CALLED FOR!! Then she followed up with “you can always just go wash your hands.”… which- isn’t the point. I should I have marker on my hands after holding a cup of coffee. My mom responded in “that’s not the point, my daughter shouldn’t have green hands.” This lady proceeds to say “just take your coffee and go b.I.t.c.h.” this escalated very quickly. As we take our coffee she proceeds to say “that’s what your husband divorced you!” Yet again…very uncalled for.. all we asked was what kind of marker you used on your coffee cups for it to transfer onto my hands. If you hate your day job that much you should just go and keep your night job if you are to act like that towards a customer for asking a simple question. Very disrespectful and...
Read moreThe worst experience here on Monday 4.29.24 just after 11am. Chesapeake House on I-95 is a regular stop on my monthly route VA to/from PA. This time, however, began by encountering most unfriendly service - being completely ignored with no acknowledgement while waiting patiently in a line of 1 (another person behind me gave up) even after the 2 employees (1 of them seemed to be in training) completed the order of a customer before me. Only after asking if they take orders did they respond and begradegly proceeded to make my hot vanilla latte. The "bad taste" it left doubled up as it turned out later: The hot beverage cup - which I placed in a cup holder to sip on while driving - was LEAKING. It leaked into the cup holder and as I lifted the cup to drink, it leaked on me, on my seat, and on the steering wheel. BIG FAIL!!! I had to stop in the Maryland House 14 miles down the road just to clean up the mess, taking up more time from my already long commute. BTW - the little I managed to taste from this wasted cup was a Latte but no vanilla - so it wasn't even what I ordered/paid for.
As a result, I will definitely never get anything again from this Peet's coffee shop, and probably avoid Peet's establishment...
Read moreWoke up this morning and before heading out on the road I wanted to try the Peet’s coffee shop. A friend recommended the brand long ago and I rarely see them. First time here and I had the absolute best experience. The elderly lady who works here was super nice and gave me and my fiancé the best customer service experience we had in a while. The iced latte I ordered was delicious. The ones who claim the lady here is rude are more than likely the customers who come to places like this and think they are entitled to quality service. While giving good customer service from places like these are the goal, but when you walk up to a worker who’s working, at 6-7am in the morning, BY HERSELF, and you have the audacity to give her attitude expect her to return the favor. She stated that me and my fiancé were nice to her. So your gonna get back what you dish out. Don’t be rude. If your gonna have that much of an issue go to the store or somewhere else. Also Their menu is limited and the menu they have up they can’t change. For example their honey lavender latte isn’t available. I hope to see this lady again who was working 7/30/21 around 6-8am who made my latte because I know I’ll get good...
