Was camping out at the DC/Capitol KOA and came here twice because of how close it was - only about a two minute drive from the campsite. Great experience both times! It's basically a burger joint with hotdogs/sausages instead. The portions are generous and fairly priced, 'round $9-13 for a meal. The service was impeccable - they get to you quick, check on you often, and have good attitudes. Food only took about 5-10 minutes to come out both times. They've got a vegan dog that you can sub into any of the nonvegan ones, and you can alter the dogs to take off the nonvegan stuff, too. Wish their beer selection was larger, but they've got some decent variety for what they do have. They're (obviously?) dog friendly, so don't eat out on their patio if you're not cool with that. Place has got a cool aesthetic, and it's clean. Wish they had something sweet on the menu (fried Oreos? ice cream?), but that’s about it. Definitely stop by if you're camping out at the KOA!

We have to come down every so often from a state over for work. My brother has been recommending my husband and I try this place for a while but we never had time. We made ourselves make time for it today and let me tell you how happy my husband and I are that we did. This place was so freaking good. When you look at the menu you think” mostly hotdogs?” But it’s more than that. The food is definitely cooked with the heart and the portions are so generous. My husband is not one that is easily overly impressed but we both were. Wherever we are down in Maryland this is going to be are go to! The service was also so great and the bartender/waitress and the owner were so personable. Don’t miss out on this place! That homemade chili was just *chef’s kiss*

First, the inside and outside have been upgraded from the previous restaurant that was there.  Looks great! The staff and management are extremely friendly.  Shah is always helpful … and funny! The beer list is good & they try to rotate beers.  Usually about 12 beers on tap. There are a couple of TVs there to watch some sports.  It’s a hotdog place, so if that’s what you like, this is the spot. Their Happy Hour dog is excellent … simple … a dog and a bun (I added diced onions).  The bun is a potato roll slightly buttered and the hotdog was crisp, moist and tasty.  Also, the loaded tots are perfect with a cold beer. Outdoor seating with propane heaters is available.  There is ample parking. Overall, great experience.

We went here after a work outing. There were two vegans in our party. The server was told this. Everything was pretty good until the end. That's when it got strange. A guy that works there that we hadn't seen before came to our table and started to tell us about his three sauces: slap your mother, punch your nephew, and punish your child. Weird. He then comes back to the table with samples of the three sauces. A vegan at our table says she doesn't want to try them because it looks like they contain dairy and she's vegan. He then asks her if she's the one that ordered the vegan sausage with chili because the chili isn't vegan. We tell him that both vegans didn't order chili and that he is mistaken. He then says that the bun isn't vegan so they got a some cow in them now and starts laughing. We tell him it isn't funny and he walks away still laughing and says that it is hilarious that they've got some cow in them. He then comes back a few minutes later and makes a half hearted apology blaming the two vegans in our party for not asking about the buns. We try to explain that if they are using buns with milk or using butter on them that should be disclosed on the menu or when you sub a vegan alternative. He says didn't you go school, don't you know how to ask questions? So it's their fault they didn't ask about the buns when the menu says "Looking for a vegetarian or vegan alternative for your favorite Pour Dog House entree? Substitute a delicious plant-based sausage for a $4 up-charge.". I guess that isn't enough assurance and you need to ask about the buns too. The loaded fries and tots were good, but put them on a plate instead of a cardboard basket lined with wax paper. The dogs were good too. Thinking that it is hilarious that a vegan ate "some cow" unknowingly is not cool and that's why they get 1 star and we won't...

We were so excited to try this place, and so disappointed with our experience. Our waitress was not very knowledgeable about the menu and simply told us to look online when we asked what was on tap. An online menu is fine, but there was no QR code at the table. She had to go find one on another table. If your menu is strictly online, please have the code ready to go on all tables.

Our group consisted of 5 people. We got our first round of drinks and appetizers fairly quickly. We gave our dinner order to a different waiter since our waitress seemed to vanish. We had arrived at 6:15pm, and nearing 8pm only two people in our group got their food. For the price, the portion size on their reubens was laughable, especially when I see photos on other reviews of very generous size. It's clear they were pumping out inferior quality just to move tickets. The other three in our group did not get their dinners, and considering two of the entrees were just a salad and a bowl of chili, this is ridiculous. Our drinks were also never replenished after the first round. It felt like they completely forgot that we were out there.

The manager did apologize when we decided to leave, which is appreciated, but unfortunately we will not give this restaurant a second chance. There are too many other options with better...

This place is the truth! The hot dogs tasted amazing and were all beef and delicious. the half-smoke was also off the chain. Now for the specialty, I had the Kinderpark Shrimp & Dog, All beef hot dog, fried shrimp and our famous Pour Dog House sauce. I said fried shrimp and a hot dog doesn't make sense. I was sorely mistaken. Shaw was our guide during our pour dog house experience and he didn't stear us wrong. He recommended the shrimp & dog and I am so glad he did and I took his advice. It was flavorful and just all around good. Would do it again and again. My Wife had Saverna Park Southern Charm which is a Half smoke, Pour Dog chili, cheddar cheese, grilled peppers and onions. Ketchup and Mustard on request. She loved it and so did I. The chili was amazing, the toasted bun at it off. We added tater rots that were crispy, tasty and just great. Fried in their own separate oil to make them vegan. That made all the difference. Shaw also made me a drink that was so on point and a first time experience. It was Big Oyster - Hammerhead IPA with Vodka and Sprite. He didn't have a name for it but I called it the White Cloud! All in all great service, great food, great drinks, and great experience! We are going back for sure looking forward to trying Thursday...
