I can only say that I choose 1 star because I can't choose less. My friend and I got there at 6pm. We were seated inside quickly. After 15 minutes no one had still come to our table to greet us. We wanted to sit outside so we gave up our table to get in the waitlist for outside. We told the hostess we were going to be at the bar waiting. We sat directly across from the hostess station at the bar. We could see each other through the window. After about 45 minutes went by a group came in, they clearly knew the staff, they knocked on the window behind us to get the bartenders attention. After another 15 minutes, I went to check on the status of our seating. I was told we were next on the list. I checked to make sure she had the correct number to call me when the table was ready and went back to the bar. After another 45 minutes or so, the bartender went to see what was going on. It is now after 8pm. The hostess comes and tells me that she has called me three times and crossed me off the list. I received no calls and she could see me through the window, for I had been sitting right in front of her the entire time. She takes us to a table all the way in the back corner "inside". So I ask her that I literally just waited over two hours to sit outside and was still being seated inside. I could have been seated, eaten and left a dozen times over in this time. When the waitress brings us the soup we ordered, she mentions that it is so hot that she burned herself and to be careful. Then she sits my friends bowl down in front of her, and tries to hand me mine from across the table. Really? I thought it was hot, why would you not bring it over to my side and set it down in front of me then? Needless to say the soup was only luke warm and was quite awful. Then the customer that came in about an hour after us, the one who was knocking on the window and waving at the bartender, comes in from his outside table and reaches across our table, and across my face to hand the waitress a tip. Not only was that the rudest thing ever, but I then realized that they seated them before us and got them outside even though we had clearly been there and on the list for at least an hour before them. So clearly they show favoritism to people that they know and have absolutely no customer service skills. Needless to say, we were there for three and a half hours and still left hungry and frustrated. I will never go back and do not recommended them to anyone either. Eat at...
Read moreIt was our first time visiting the restaurant and we were exploring food places, so we looked online and found this restaurant. So we drove over there and we were excited to see the views, which are beautiful. Yet, once we entered the restaurant, the evil looks and states of some of the customers and energy as going there as an Army Veteran and my University professor friend ( we both are Muslim women)- it felt so uncomfortable. Some people were friendly and not brainwashed by seeing what kind of cloth we wear. My faith is an affirmation of my way of life that I worship God and cover my hair out of my own choice. They gave us the runaround when we got there to get a table and after being directed three times, we got finally a table. I was actually amazed by the size of the food. The view is beautiful there, it reminded me of the hotel my aunt had when she had the restaurant over her hotel and we were always overlooking the ocean when we were eating when I was a kid. The waitress talked too long to other customers when we were waiting for her when we were ready to go. She was nice and deserves help. We both are educated women and her children have special needs, the people in the back where we sat and dined in as well were kind. It really feels uncomfortable to try to go to a place because of this, but we still go because she is a taxpaying citizen and has a right to go wherever she wants and is never frugal when she goes out to eat. The toilet smelled so badly and it looked really old Considering the experience, we may visit or not visit again. I love Southern Maryland and bought my house here after I retired from the Army, not knowing anything. So I will continue to explore the places where I go and I truly pray to God that some of these people learn more about diversity and tolerance. Most of the people in Southern Maryland are friendlier than the people in DC and of course the few who look at you weird for being Muslim, who probably have just have watched too much CNN and Fox News, consumed misinformation about people of different lives and do not know anything about this life. Compare us to the Amish we are in a sense similar with a dress code and religious way of life. That is...

9/10/24, 6pm Met my granddaughter, her husband and new baby at Seabreeze at 6. I was excited to show my family this , what use to be, a really cool crab house on the Patuxent River in Mechanicsville, MD....they had never been to Seabreeze. IT took 10 minutes to find anybody to seat us. Not ONE employee in sight. I walked around to find anybody working, nobody in sight. Finally an employee noticed we were waiting and seated us. We got ignored for 45 minutes, managed to get 3 sodas. Waitress never asked us what we wanted to eat, she was rude. Threw 2 menus on table (for 3 adults) and ran away. She walked past us 15-20 times. I told my family, she walks past again, we are out of here. She was only interested in serving big party of 15-20 outside. Apparently, only people seated OUTSIDE are allowed to order food. Waitress ignored 2 other tables inside completely, they at least had food, but we heard them complaining about not having waitress stop by their tables. What a waste of time. If we stayed at Seabreeze, it would have taken another hour for food. I told waitress she ignored us for 45 minutes and we left to fund a real restaurant that is able to take food orders and deliver food to the table. There are too any other crab houses in Southern Maryland to ever return to Seabreeze again, only to be ignored and watch servers walk past you 15 times and not say ONE WORD to you. Why did you bother opening today? Where is a manager? Where is the owner? Do they even care? We felt like we were in the waitress' way, we we a bother to her. Nobody cares about you, that's for sure. They must already make too much money to care about customers waiting to be served and fed. Isn't that the reason you opened the restaurant? To serve actual food and drinks, not to ignore good paying customers and be rude about it? I could have never left a tip to a server that ignored me for 45 minutes, walking past us 15+ times. I generally over tip, because MOST...
