The soft serve at Shadyside Soft Serve Ice Cream is the creamiest I've ever had in recent memory. Cute little shop in a tiny little 'strip mall' that has lots of parking. Don't blink though when you are driving or you may miss it. It sits up a driveway to the back area of a property. I drive a long way to get some of this unusually delicious soft serve ice cream, but the past 4 times I have been very disappointed as their "large" cones now have barely - if any - more ice cream on them then their regular cones. Used to be that their large cone had an impressive amount of soft serve ice cream on it. Made you smile! I highly suspect new owners or new management has implemented a change... The mother/son (I presume) were kind and efficient. The ice cream was great. The different flavors of dips was cool! Kids loved the sno balls. And the pricing is great.
I wish they had one special flavor each week or something besides just choc and van (we have a local place here that always has van and choc but then rotates a third flavor like strawberry or black raspberry or something) but just a suggestion, not a complaint.
