First time trying this amazing restaurant. It is definitely a hole in the wall place but service is great. Food was delicious and it is reasonably priced! We made a reservation and when we got there, only two cars in the parking lot. So we asked if we could sit early and we could. Our waitress, Susan was very nice and prompt. I got the chai tea, I definitely recommend! My grandmother got the eggs benedict. She said that she has never had better, very good! I got the French toast on brioche. It was delicious! It was such a beautiful atmosphere, and around noon more people decided to come. I would definitely come here again!

T at the General Store is an absolute gem! I have been three times – twice for brunch, once for dinner. Everything has been consistently great across the board. If you can catch Sunday brunch, don’t miss the pancakes. We went for dinner for the first time tonight and loved everything from the apps to sides to mains to dessert. The crab cakes and bread pudding were particular stand-outs. It’s worth the drive from any of the nearby towns!

We were traveling by car from Montreal and we stopped in several places in the US. This was by far the best restaurant we tried! Delicious food and an amazing service! There are not words enough to describe my excellent experience!!!

Am a local and decided to try T. First, the food was delicious and priced at the higher end. The price is a reflection of the quality though. That's the good stuff. Here's the stuff that I see needing improving if they'd like to keep locals coming back. The website does not reflect reality and apparently it hasn't for several years. I came to the restaurant because of the this"Locals’ Lite FareLite fare specials offered at the bar from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday through Thursday. New Specials Daily including $5 Bottled Beers and Select wines for $6 a glass. Join Us!" Well this doesn't exist...disappointing. T was out of their house Cab and served another as it's replacement. We were expecting it to be $6 a glass(based on the above) and were shocked when it was $13. This is not a good business practice. I ordered a Caesar salad with Salmon. The Salmon was fleshy inside(like sushi). When I asked for it to be cooked a little more, I was told T serves it medium rare. Well don't you think you should inform the customer of that when they order??? As a local(literally less than 1/4 mile away) I'd like to be able to come by a couple times a week but T is not set up for this kind of patronage(unless you are wealthy). I am glad T is in the old General Store and have watched their business grow over the last few years, but hey....don't forget us locals that would like to patronize...

This is the only restaurant I have ever eaten at where I tried to walk out before the food was served. When we arrived, we asked about several items on the online menu that were not on the menu in the restaurant. Our server was incredibly rude and told us that we should have looked at the menu on Open Table, that is the only menu that is right. Apparently, the restaurant’s own website is wrong. All of the vegetarian items on the online menu were unavailable leaving only the Caesar salad as an option. Two people in the group ordered this and it was limp iceberg lettuce with Pepperidge Farms croutons. It was not good. I ordered the Beef Wellington and it took more than one hour to be cooked. I was charged two times as much for it as every other item on the menu. We tried to leave because our food took so long and we were told that whether we ate the food or not we would have to pay. I told the waitress I was pregnant, had waited too long, and felt ill. She did not care and would not let us leave. This was the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. The staff was very rude, the Caesar salads were awful, the staff was not upfront about the cost of the food, and we were basically barred from leaving the restaurant without paying full price. No discounts or apologies were made at any time. Do not...

A disappointing dining experience and poor service. We had checked the menu in advance, but when we arrived the menu was different. There were no vegetarian entrees and when inquired were informed that the chef “could make some rice.” Two ordered just salad (finding nothing else) and the other the special. After more than an hour of waiting and seeing every other diner be served with no acknowledgment from our server, we got up to leave. They announced that we could not leave without paying for our meals as the special was expensive ($60 - twice the cost of other menu items). We didn’t want to make a bigger scene so we sat back down. The Caesar salads were equivalent to a grocery store bagged salad but we ate them because we were hungry. The special was good but not exceptional. They claimed our meal was much delayed because the special takes a long time to prepare, something they did not tell us in advance. Had we known about the time delay or the price, we would not have ordered it. The server then told us “sorry you had a bad experience” and gave us the check in full for the meal. We are not particular diners and have never before gotten up to leave a restaurant, so this was a memorably...
