I live in the general area and have always wanted to stop in. Today was that day. My daughter got the chorizo burrito. She said it was okay. Seasoning was light. Peppers could’ve been better. Her friend got tuna salad. I don’t eat tuna but it did look good. The onions and tomatoes were fresh. She said it was very good. Now I got avocado toast. I should’ve asked more questions. It did not meet my expectations. Extremely bland. Just smeared avocado with zero seasoning. Nothing worse than having to add table salt. It was thinly spread. I didn’t get that hot crunch of candied bacon. It was unfortunate. I guess I expected sliced avocado, olive oil, seasoning and candied bacon. It left me feeling unsatisfied. It’s my fault for not looking at reviews first. So for the few items it was around 35 dollars. The staff were friendly. Inside was very clean and welcoming. Limited seating inside. It appeared some were there to work on laptops. Not an issue if it’s nice outside but today it was rainy. So sitting outside wasn’t an option today. We sat at a counter near the door. It won’t work if your party is larger than three and definitely not for small children. They were very busy but I didn’t feel like we waited long. Takeaways. I think food could use some tweaking. I’m okay paying a little more. I didn’t try the coffee as this was a last minute stop. We did order matcha. With some improvements it could be great. It just gives me fried green tomatoes feels but it needs to be fried green tomatoes good.

So I like to sometimes stop here for a latte on my commute to Towson University in the morning and it’s not the best coffee around but it’s a nice treat. However, this morning I stopped and got the pumpkin pie iced latte that was being advertised and it was awful. When the barista started making it I saw her use a glass bottle/dripper that looked to be an essential oil of some sort and put it into my cup… I have never seen that when making a latte… ever. Well let me tell you, I took one sip and nearly choked because whatever that was that she put in there was not mixed and not to mention tasted like poison. It was not even drinkable. I then told her I couldn’t drink it and she looked at me insulted and I promise you if she could have tried the drink she made me she would have been humbled very quickly. Then she made me what I called a “pissed off” caramel iced latte because her face while making it was annoyed and the finished product was mainly milk, ice, a tad bit of coffee and no caramel it seemed. The girl with the green hat and ponytail should not be a barista because she’s not friendly and clearly doesn’t know anything about coffee. I also ordered the churro bites which had nice flavor but I didn’t really enjoy fully because they were not fully cooked throughout. For $17 I expect a lot more than what I got today. Way too expensive for the quality of food/drink and level of customer service. The other girl who had waited on me in the beginning was very nice.

I waited 38 minutes to get ONE coffee. There was one person making coffee for the entire place, which was packed. Some left without even getting their coffee (but they paid) because it took so long. There were 2 people making food. Someone who ordered well before me asked how much longer, and they didn’t even have his order any more. They said they would make it right away, but I sat and watched them finish 2 other drinks before his. I came in about 1 hour to close. There was a guy who appeared to be the owner or manager, just walking around aimlessly instead of rolling up his sleeves and helping the one person make coffee. Instead, he emptied tip jars and filled up containers that weren’t necessarily empty yet. Those are the things you do once closed. Plus, he made no interaction with any customer inside, which says a lot. I understand they just opened. Waiting 38 minutes for an average coffee is insane. After waiting so long, I had higher hopes for the coffee, but it just wasn’t good. This seems like a cool hangout spot, but this is def not your quick stop for coffee place.
