Plaza Mexico Mason City — Restaurant in Mason City

My friend took me here for the first time last night. Though the food is decent, save the dry pollo asada, I cannot say anything good about the wait staff. Other than the busboy. He was more helpful and attentive than the two waitresses combined. I'm not sure either waitress knew who's table we belong to, who was checking on us or taking our order and clearly didn't communicate about it. The food delivery was like a drive-by. I was never asked if we wanted another margarita nor was my friend asked or given a refill on her soda. The initial chip basket was only broken chips from the bottom, and I mean the pieces, small pieces, almost crumbs. To the manager/owner...the young man that's a early teen with auburn hair rockin' a buzz cut...promote him to a waiter or head waiter. He's polite, attentive, makes eye contact, listens, stands in such a respectful stance and delivers excellent customer service...

OMG! You will not be disappointed. The ambiance is very Hispanic and you might feel you have stepped into Mexico. The staff are very nice, the restaurant clean, and the portions are more than you could ever expect. It is refreshing to be served larger portions. The flavor of the food is mouthwatering. Lived in Mason City my whole life, as well as in Mexico. As a Mexican, I can fully vouch that this food has always been authentic.
