First time here. I really wished I had taken photos! Delicious food, excellent service. I had one of the specials which was an Italian trio. Every one of the three dishes was the best I've tasted. The chicken marsala was so good I used the bread, which was also excellent, to sop the mushroom gravy. The lasagna was perfect. I don't like a lot of tomato sauce but the amount on their lasagna was just right. The third dish was chicken with sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese. I opted out of the goat cheese. The salad that comes with the meal wasn't large but it was enough. It had croutons, and finely diced tomatoes and cucumber. They didn't have ranch so I got their Italian. Very good dressing and salad. One of our group ordered the lobster bisque and said it was very good. They serve diet Coke, which is always a plus for me, and it had a great fizz. I really don't like it when it's flat. And everything looked as good as it tasted. So good that I forgot to get photos! Next time! Because I fully intend to go back! UPDATE: I loved this place so much I took family there the following night. I ordered the same meal, but it wasn't as good. The salad had three large pieces of the core in it and tasted old. The chicken marsala was still wonderful, but the lasagna didn't have as much ricotta cheese. My son ordered the same meal and didn't like the lasagna. It was obviously "built on the plate" with the noodle, sauce, cheese, alfredo sauce, noodle, and more sauces. It wasn't baked together like that. I liked it. He did not. My daughter in law ordered the Spinach Pappardelle and said it was good but didn't look enthusiastic about ordering it again. The bread was harder than the night before. It is a crusty bread but the inside wasn't soft like before. I've since heard from others that it's sometimes hit or miss with the food. I'll still give it another try. I'm adding this in case you try it and wonder what I was raving about if you should get a less than fabulous meal. The service was still excellent.

Atmosphere was very lovely. We went to the massillon location for the first time tonight because I really wanted spaghetti and meatballs and Google said it was fairly close to where we were at that moment. Server was super friendly and prompt. I was disappointed in the appetizer prices. Both the cheese sticks and zucchini sticks were over $10. I can go to Taggarts or another place and pay $2-3 less for either and still have high quality. We opted not to get an appetizer. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The bread that came with the oil and spices was fabulous. I had wedding soup instead of salad. It was very very good. My entree was a little lack luster. The meatballs were homemade and fantastic. The marinera was not what I expected. It was a strange blend of watery and chunky. I could have done without the large chunks of not quite all the way peeled tomatoes. I expect a solid marinera to be thick and almost smooth. That said, it was filling. My husband got a chicken Caesar salad and was not impressed. It's his favorite dish and he was very meh about it. Overall it wasn't bad just not what I expected. Maybe we will be back to try something else? Not sure.

We recently lost our go-to Italian restaurant, in the Canton-Massillon area. We've been searching for a replacement. I found Bugsy's, reviewing comments on TripAdvisor. It sounded like a decent place, so we gave it a try. We weren't disappointed.

We arrived early, typical for us, for dinner, around 4:30 PM. We were greeted by a very cheerful hostess, and seated promptly.

After a brief wait, our waitperson appeared. She advised us of the specials (I love a place that has rotating specials), and took our drink orders. We also ordered the Spinach Dip as an appetizer.

I'm an IPA lover, so the lack of one on the beer menu was a bit of a downer, but I found some other beer to drink. My wife had the house Chardonnay.

Our waitperson came with our drinks, and took our entree orders. I chose the Linguine Bolognese. My wife chose the Angel Hair Puttanesca.

Our appetizer arrived. The sauce was more liquid that we are used to, something like a thick soup, accompanied toasted flatbread. It was loaded with spinach and artichoke. It was very good. We devoured it.

Then came our salads. We both chose the house dressing. The salads were fresh, no wilted leaves. The dressing had a noticeable mustard flavor to it, and was excellent.

Before my wife had a chance to finish her salad, our entrees arrived. I had just finished my salad (I know, I eat like a pig).

My wife told me the Angel Hair Puttanesca was fabulous. As for me, the Linguine was awesome. We both took our leftovers home. We had her leftovers, the following night, and I totally agree with her assessment. As for my leftovers, I froze and vacuum packed them. I totally plan to enjoy them, some day in the future.

Bottom line...we WILL return. Don't be afraid of the shopping center location. These people know how to do it right.

I wish the rating scale was based on 10, because I would give Bugsy's a 9 (nobody's perfect), but, as it is, 4 out of 5, is very unfair...

My fiancé and I have been loyal customers since this restaurant opened. I introduced the place to two of my good friends yesterday evening. Highly disappointed! They both ordered the hamburger special, but different type cheese and cooking preferences. When our waitress delivered our food she asked who got what again and placed the dish in front of each of them by their answer. One ordered rare so her burger was marked with a red pick in it supposedly. Turns out they were given the wrong plate but had already started eating it so thought they’d just continue since we had already waited awhile. My one friend had told waitress when she was finished to ordered the exact meal as take out for her husband. Well, when waitress came to retrieve dirty dishes we thought we’d tell her nicely about the mistake so the take out order would get done correctly. Waitress was rude, never apologized and basically just walked away. I was very embarrassed by her behavior. She returned to the table to tell us we could not have the take out order at the special price. Needless to say everything went downhill from there (as to not make this story more longer). So.... terrible service by our waitress and the hostess that got involved, long wait, and false advertising. No where, including their website, does it state no carry out on specials. Sadly, they no longer have two loyal customers nor two potential customers. I will never go there or utilize carry out again!! Very embarrassing and I hope they realize word-to-mouth advertising can make or break a business. Sadly over a $2.00 discount and...
