Stepping in recently just after lunch hour, my wife and I sensed we were stepping into a simpler, kinder world, one of manners and quality and value. Our server, Sherri, was most hospitable, too - even when we asked to add sausage and split a Veggie Omelette. Here, they even offer the elusive shredded potatoes, which with added sauteed onions and Rye toast, is a late game grand slam. This morning I dragged my husband and a friend to the Mattapoisett Diner because I was craving Pancakes which I have a obsession with. The first thing I always ask before ordering is "do you have real butter?" Do not bring me any sort of margarine and try to tell me its butter it really ruins the experience for me. But I was super happy to see the butter packs were on the table waiting for my hot pancake. Me and my husband ordered the lumberjack breakfast and our friend order the 2 egg breakfast. Let's just start with the amazing flavor on the hand-cut homefries that we're seasoned to perfection!! The eggs were great with some cheddar and jalapeños but the pancakes were so large and fluffy and just full of flavor I didn't even need syrup 😋 I ended up taking one home, don't judge me because I will eat it🤣🤣🤣. The service was amazing, fast and cheerful!! And it doesn't hurt that it has a full bar🤭🤭!! So if your ever in the Mattapoisett area...

This was our 2nd time with new owners. Over a month ago we came for breakfast on a Sunday. It was a disaster. We waited an hour an a half for our food. The order didn't even come out right. Wanted a pistachio waffle. Came out with none.My husband's meal was incorrect as well. We were told by a waitress to give it another shot. Well we did tonight, it was just as bad. We were seated, order was taken. We are still just sitting and waiting. 3 different couples that came in after us got their food first. I asked what's going on. She said they had quicker food. What, the guy after me ordered a hamburger, I ordered one as well. Medium rare, I didn't even bother to tell waitress it was over cooked. I asked for lettuce and tomato.
