I’m surprised by the bad reviews left, but it seems like the owner of the stand employs a variety of people, and the lady who helped me and my daughter was great. We stopped both days that we traveled the road to Hana, the açaí bowls are amazing. We also picked up a souvenir (maraca) and loved the music she was playing. I don’t know if it was Hawaiian but it sounded tribal, which was the only time I heard exotic music that didn’t seem mainstream and available in the US. Will stop again if I return to Maui!

This was a fine place to stop. I don't think it's a must stop like some of the travel blogs I read said, but it was a good lookout and we had a yummy smoothie! I think it was a little overpriced, but we enjoyed trying different snacks and things along the way to really get the Road to Hana experience. They also have crepes and banana bread like other stands, so you can always find some later if you don't get everything here.

We got a coconut and a smoothie blend here on our Friday morning drive to hana. The coconut water was decent, not much sweet and the flesh was a bit hard (tender flesh is the best!). The view of the ocean is ok, they have a little bench where you can hang. The parking is on a blind curve, so make sure you have someone guide you in or out of the lot. Prices are a bit steep ($10 for coconut and smoothie each)

DO NOT STOP HERE. The lookout was fine - honestly couldn’t see much. But the owner was so incredibly rude I thought it was just us but apparently he’s like this to everyone. We pulled up very early so we were the only customers there. Said hi and looked over the menu - he completely ignored us. We ordered shaved ice and a crepe and asked about payment. He very rudely pointed to a Venmo sign and made us show him the process of us sending him payment before saying anything else to us. He then said we have to give tip on cash or his personal Venmo. We said thanks and waited patiently for him to very slowly make the food. He told us again we needed to tip him in a very rude tone. We stood there talking for a few mins waiting and he asked us AGAIN if we had tipped yet and wouldn’t give us our food until we said how we were tipping. I asked for the personal Venmo and he threw the notepad across the counter at me. Had to pretend to tip so we could get our food and go but he was very off putting and rude for such a...

DON’T BOTHER BUYING FROM THEM!!!! We ordered a cinnamon sugar crepe and I can firmly tell you, I wouldn’t feed it to a pig! It was DISGUSTING! Tasted like sour milk.

So here’s the story- we placed our order with the man who was in the booth. As we paid him, he muttered something very quickly and turned away to make the crepe. None of us had heard exactly what he said- other than the word “tip”. As he was finishing up and was handing us the food, we put a tip in his jar. Then he says angrily “Typically you tip before I make the food so it tastes better!!! I told you that when you paid!!” And I was like… “oh sorry… we didn’t hear what you said…” I really should have just taken back the tip. The food was gross. Don’t stop here. There’s better food further down. Not to forget- much nicer people down...

Quite possibly our most negative and bizarre experience in our entire Hawaiian week… We stopped here for a crêpe. Upon trying to order two crepes, he informed us that it takes at least 10 minutes per crêpe and highly discouraged us. We kept it to one crêpe and a fresh cut pineapple. The sign on the pineapples read five dollars but evidently if you want him to cut them it is $10. That is not posted that way. Then he handed us the pineapple in an overflowing bowl… Which was delicious!… But kept several of the pieces for himself, which was weird. All the while he barely spoke and loud weird music was playing. It was overall just an odd experience, and we wouldn’t recommend or stop again. The crêpe was fine for the record but...
