I live a mile from here, and love supporting a local business, however, today I paid $20 for avocado toast that was the absolute worst avocado toast I’ve had in my life. So silly since Maui should have the best avocado toast… It was 2 untoasted hunks of bread with watery avo spread thin like butter, (couldn’t taste avo at all…. Looked nothing like other pictures on here of their avo toast, so maybe a recipe change?), 3 see through slices of cucumber that were so thin, if you stacked them together it still wouldn’t be a normal slice, (again, not like other photos I’ve seen), and a couple tiny diced tomatoes. So avo, cucumber, and tomato were pointless they were so microscopic, (and shared between 2 pieces of bread). No sprouts like others have pictured, and waaaay less avo. Paid $3 extra for an egg on top of each, which was its only savior. It tasted like egg on bread. I can get an entire baguette from Mana for $3 and 2 eggs for $1. Try other things on their menu, like their burrito. Good coffee, and good brownies from inside the store. Lady at the window was sweet. Just couldn’t believe they’d serve something so insanely subpar and cheaply...

This was our go to breakfast/lunch spot while in Maui as it was so close to our place. I had the açai and the vegan Bahn mi and they were both delicious. It could be one of the best açai bowls I’ve ever had, which seems odd for a place like this! There was a slight issue with the Bahn mi though. I asked to have it vegan and the lady seemed very confident and assured me that could be done. Unfortunately, I was given a meat Bahn mi but with no sauce. Not too sure what went on there/if they know what vegan meant but we did have to tell them that vegan = no meat. They were totally fine to take it back and make me a new one with the vegan substitute (tempeh) and the tempeh was amazing! I just added sriracha as my sauce and it was still a great meal. Very grateful for the staff for being so accommodating and prompt at fixing up the mistake. Such a beautiful location and I’d love to come...

What....honestly surprised. I expected to stop and grab some water on the way to go take a joy ride.... but what I discovered has now left me curious about what else I can taste at this hidden gym of a Cafe! Ps...don't tell anyone 😆 lol.

So I ordered the empanadas...seriously....what! So beyond yummm. Filled with simple ingredients that are packed with such perfect balance of flavor and the outside was not only cooked magnificently...it was also beautiful with an impression...I feel like I should start taking photos for this page!

The wood fire stove.....ummm and the curiosity I have about the pizza...that's my next review.

The matcha she made like a pro....I had her put oat milk and honey...

The outside area to sit...so spacious and nice.... What a great little surprise and I highly recommend!

Go try the empanadas and lmk what you...

Jaws country store has tourist items to purchase and snacks. I would not recommend the pastries, as I thought they were a little dry, but my kids enjoyed them. If you need to pick up some snacks on the road back from hana I would recommend stopping here. The customer service was excellent as they closed at 6pm, but they allowed us to finish shopping and we didn't feel rushed out. Just outside the country store is a wood fire pizza and breakfast shop, the pizza was amazing! Wondeful owner from Argentina. The pizza chef is from Austria and has 40 years of pizza experience. I would highly recommend grabbing a 12" pizza, it feeds two people. There is an amazing grassy area for the kids to run around in after a long drive or before you start your drive.

We had stopped here after a very long stretch on the Road to Hana. Hi'ialo pointed to way to fresh and hot coffee, the best bagel West of Brooklyn, and more good foods. She was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We bought 4 kinds of vegetarian jerkie, souvenirs, and baked goods for the road. Lots of local artist made items as well as foods. Loved the authentic broken surfboards on the fence!!! These are actually broken on Jaws itself and a testimony to the power of Mother Nature! Loved the natural wood bench and seats. These were cut from single passes of trees. Beautiful wood and csre taking My wife and I Loved coming from the Smallest state (Rhode Island), to an Island of kindness! #Mahalo #RockFromRI
