I cannot say enough good things about the owners and the wonderful coffee! An amazing place to visit with an incredible welcome from the whole family! Recommend calling beforehand to see if open. My husband and I went to the Plantation today. Unfortunately, we did not call to see if open before we went. When we got there we received a very warm welcome although they were closed and doing some renovations. The Grandson of Abuela, Jose’ Luis was so friendly and spent so much time talking with us. Abuela made sure we had wonderful coffee and treats! Even making sure we were given a prayer for our journey back! We left there feeling like part of the family!! Try to make a trip there! If cannot make it, highly recommend their coffee! They even ship! Thank you again to all the Rodriguez family! We hope to...
Read moreNot a traditional café per se, it's a plantation, where they grow, harvest, process, roast and, if you like, grind the coffee beans. We called and asked for a little tour, which was done mostly in Spanish, but we had a Spanish speaker in our group so translation was not an issue. The family that runs the place are a great group, very friendly and engaging. We all sort of fell in love with the beautiful woman who sang to us in Spanish and told us stories of growing up in the region. The views in the area are spectacular as well as the drive up to the site. We all bought coffee (whole bean or ground,) and the prices were exceptional -much better than from any store -and really great Puerto Rican coffee. Mucho gracias por...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience!! We had always dreamt of visiting a coffee plantation but Cafe Mis Abuelos surpassed any expectations we had. Adriana gave us a lovely tour of the farm & roastery and explained the entire life of a coffee bean - from the cherry to the cup. The location is quite near to Mayaguez and the drive was manageable. The atmosphere was amazing and the entire family met us with such hospitality. Certainly recommend paying a visit if you’re a coffee lover visiting Puerto Rico! (also - if you are unsure about how to make arrangements to visit as I was , they are very responsive over email on Facebook messenger!! The phone number on Google and the website didn’t seem to...
