El Jimador — Restaurant in Mayer

Kid friendly restaurant (We have 3 littles: 6, 4, and new born). The music is fun, but not overbearing. The menu has a nice variety but categorized to make selection simple.

We loved that we could substitute fries instead of rice on the kids menu taco.

The salsa is wonderful, but after asking for something a little spicier they brought out habanero salsa that complimented the mild to perfection. The kind of salsa where you can taste the flavor, and not just a mouth of burn.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful dinner out at El Jimador in Mayer. The service was quick and very friendly. We were so thrilled with the tasty queso, hot chips and spicy salsa. Exceptional margaritas and delicious large portions. Highly recommend the fajitas for two - this was a perfect selection of flavorful shrimp, chicken and beef with seasoned vegetables + rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. Came here the other night while running errands and we weren’t sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised! We usually travel out to Shakopee for Mexican food, but this place was great and we will definitely be coming back soon! Plus the staff were awesome and super friendly....
