Sherwood Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Mayville

We have been here 3 times now don't believe we will come back. The first, two times we had no problems, third time we went with others who had never been. One person had a tomato allergy, what she ordered off the menu( I believe it was smothered chicken) said nothing about tomatoes so she assumed it was safe and didnt mention it. That's our bad. When the food came she found some chunks of tomatoes and just let the waitress know she's deathly allergic and cannot have it and it wasn't stated on the menu. She took the dish and came back and said tomatoes are in the rice, so we just asked for the meat with no rice. Dish came back and she lifted up the chicken and there was a ton of rice underneath all they did was lift the chicken off the rice. Which they had just told us rice had tomatoes mixed in! At this point we were all just mad and done with the situation we paid for all our food and left. Waitress was the only nice one it seemed in there and the only one who said sorry.

Every time food has been nothing special. I'd recommend the French toast. It's a quick and fairly cheap...

We came in from San Antonio Texas others from Atlanta G.A for my sister birthday and she said this was her favorite restaurant to eat breakfast, food was delicious but I would not go back again the service that we got was ridiculous I was ready to walk out, she brought our hot coffee placed in front of our 1 year old baby I told loudly, hey don't sit coffee there, then one of us ordered pancakes we asked waitress for a plastic fork my sister had some work done in her mouth and wanted plastic fork waitress brought a spoon for pancakes waitress said they were out, so we then asked a thin white girl that was helping her serve tables she brought her a plastic fork very politely, we are Hispanic and sadly the waitress that attend to our table was Hispanic as well she never came back to our table to ask if we needed anything or if we wanted any more coffee, my sister was very disappointed and apologized for bringing us to this restaurant, when there is bad waitress gives bad service that ruins every one's hard work because food was awesome thanks to the cooks...

My mother and I came to eat at this restaurant not to long ago and I ordered and taco plate....I noticed that there were thinly sliced carrots in my lettuce....I asked the waitress if I could get a new one...she asked what was wrong and I told her...she said "yeah the stuff they order comes like that...I'm not sure why" I wasn't happy because I also noticed some purple cabbage pieces....I sent it back...I was not happy....so I need the French dip instead.the meat was super dry and had no cheese..... When we got our bill I saw that the taco plate that I did not eat was on the bill....I asked the waitress about it and she said the chef still wanted us to pay for it...I asked her I we could at least get it half off....the chef still said no.... I will not accept a chef that won't take actions for sending out bad food...I will not...
