So overrated! I kept hearing about this place but was not impressed. Wait staff was average at best; not explaining anything, not asking if ever been there before. What could be so different? One might think...it's just tacos. Well, the chori-queso, which is very, very little for the $6 that it costs comes topped with a pile each of onion, bell pepper, and tomato. The description is not on the menu and the staff well clueless. Then there is the issue of the tacos. Don't expect fresh masa or maseca tortillas. They are pachaged. Not a biggie, right? They are double tortilla kind of tacos. The taco stuffing is not generous but acceptable. They ask if you like onions or cilantro. Even if you say no... they come with it! Lol Also, queso and "aguacate" extra. Why is aguacate in quotation marks you might ask. Well, it's guacamole they mean. Again no explanation on menu or by staff. So not fun digging tomato, chiles, and onion from atop the tacos. FYI...Additional tacos $1.99 and they charge again the extra for queso, which at that point makes it a $4 taco fyi. Overall the service was mediocre, expect to wait a long time to get menu and wait a long time again to order, unless of course, they know you, and the food was underwhelming. If you're looking for good tacos and good service this is...
Read moreI reserved a table for 20 of my family members on Saturday 12/26/15, as a celebration gathering. If I would have known how terrible the service was going to be I would have taken my business elsewhere. We experienced the worst service anyone could encounter in the Valley...the Manger was very incompetent an didn't know how to handle any of th issues that were being brought up...it was a very windy evening, food was flying off the tables, drinks were being tossed. We requested several times to several employees including the Manager to roll down the coverings but, we got numerous different excuses for why they could not do it...we felt ignored and lied to. We asked for the total/ receipt and we were denied one. The Manager looked confused just as the cashier at the register. Neither one new how to produce an itemized receipt. I was told that I needed to pay first. ..who in their right mind would pay a large bill without requesting and reviewing what the are being charged...... as consumers we have the right to request for a receipt.....I asked for a phone number or email address for the owner and were denied as well...all we wanted was for the owner to know how poorly his business is being ran. What a disappointment we will not be going back and regret taking our...
Read moreI try to leave mostly positive reviews, but El Rodeo Taco Express is deserving of a quick review. I called the establishment for 30 minutes prior to arrival to place my order. They refused to pick up the phone; subsequently, I had to drive to the restaurant an hour before they were scheduled to close. Upon arrival I was told that I could not place my order because the kitchen was closed, but I was also told I could stand there until they closed at 2, which would be an hour from then (1am). They asked if I had ordered over the phone, then I told them that I had tried to order over the phone, but they refused to answer my calls for half an hour. Because of this, I was forced to show up and this was when I was rudely greeted at the door to the establishment by the two young individuals. This is completely unprofessional and although it was late, they were scheduled to close an hour from when I arrived. Because of this I have to leave a poor review. I even saw what I assume was the owner walking into the establishment as I was walking and he chuckled and said “it’s closed.”
1/5 stars. Would rate higher but I wouldn’t know how the food taste as I wasn’t allowed into the...
