The food is great, amazing really, the staff is kind and sweet. The atmosphere is old style country store. My only complaint is the prevalence of No EBT signs which in a food dessert like West McComb almost feels like a slap in the face to the residents and like modern day segregation. I'm not the only one that feels this way. But, this is my opinion. Maybe there's a valid reason for being the only market in that part of town that doesn't take EBT. Maybe it's gentrification. But, they don't. And that's why it's not 5 stars. It does not FULLY serve the community where it's located. In this day and time turning away the downtrodden when they could serve the community is enough to lose 3 stars. But, I want to be fair and not political. There's too many hardened political hearts in this world. I won't be another. The food and staff are truly wonderful. They deserve 5 stars. I'd be happy to hear why they don't and adjust my rating...
Read moreMy husband and I were in the area and decided I would run in and pick up something for dinner. I got a full rack of ribs (comes with four barbecue sauces), a medium green beans (with potatoes and bacon), a medium macaroni and cheese, and two cornbread muffins. Everything was delicious.
The ribs were tender with plenty of flavor. We didn't need the barbecue sauce due to the flavor, but that sauce was also tasty, so we used it.
The green beans were seasoned well, so need for salt or pepper. The macaroni and cheese was also well seasoned, creamy, and cheesy.
Now on to the cornbread. I like cornbread but most of the time it is very dry, so I don't eat it often. I only ordered 2 muffins, one for me and one for my husband. That was a big mistake!!!!! They were AWESOME! Flavorable and tender on the inside. Next time I will order a dozen!

Read moreWent in to try plate lunch. Fried Chicken, greens, mac/cheese, cornbread muffin. Also ordered Hamburger and Onion Rings. One of the worst meals ever. The mac cheese tasted like water- the greens tasted like weeds and grass- chicken had no flavor and the skin wasn't crisp. The cornbread muffin crumbled as soon as I picked it up. The Burger that I was told was handmade and fantastic and everyone loves with beer battered onion rings was also ordered with great hope as Burgers' serve as my Litmus test at most restaurants. For $11.00, I had great expectations only to open the bun to a dry cracked patty. All I could smell was beer from the rings and that patty had no flavor. With that, I give my Vine's lunch an EPIC FAIL. ALL INETABLE! I requested refund and didn't get it. Just shock and surprise that my friend nor I liked it. It was repulsive and I will...
