road the motorcycle on friday about 50 miles and wanted to try southern soul since i had seen it on the web. saw no buffet price and wasn't very hungry so opted for a veg plate 3 vegs or 10.99 lady said help your self, before i made it to the vegs a lady took my plate and asked what i wanted I said rice and tomatoes and rutabegas she put the rice on one section and the tomatoes on another section i asked if i could have my tomatoes on the rice and i also wanted mac and cheese she said wait a minute, and asked another lady if mac and cheese was a veg the other lady said he already had rice and tomatoes and rutabegas so he had 3 veg i said rice and tomatoes count as two she said yes and i said i want be back so i ended up paying 11.87 for basically two vegs (6.00 each) decided i will patron sweet tea's in thomson where i can get meat and two veg roll and sweet...

Husband and I tried it out for the first time Friday passed. The food we got was so good on our plates, we went back Sunday to sit down and eat. The atmosphere, staff and owner was really nice and helpful. Church members also tried them out after we left and we have passed the name of this place to others as well. The owners are amazing and very down to earth people. They know their customers name and joke around with them. They always make me feel welcome from the second I walk in the door. The wait staff is outstanding as they also learn customer names and preferences. When I eat in, I never have an empty cup. The food is delicious.
