MP Coney Island — Restaurant in McKean Township

We have been wanting to try MP Coney Island for a while but hadn’t gotten around to it, Saturday was finally the day as we happened to be in the area. This was a Saturday evening and they weren’t all that busy. Frank immediately greeted us when we walked in and helped us pick out our food as we had never been before. We got chili cheese dogs (2) Chili cheeseburger, Onion rings, Mac & cheese, Chili cheese fries And two drinks for 30 bucks. Absolutely cannot beat that price for all the food we got, And the portions were large. We were very pleased to find that the front had an enclosed area with nobody in it so we were able to sit down and eat while our 15 month old played around. We also noticed how clean every area of the place was. Did not notice one speck of dirt. Frank also came and checked on us throughout our meal and helped carry our food to our table. He even gave us a bowl of ice cream on the house for our little one. We both agreed this was the first time in a long time where we were pleased with every single item we got at a restaurant and had no leftovers to take home. I’ll start w the food. We had chili dogs and fries. The fries were hot, the dogs were good and the chili sauce was absolutely delicious! Nice and spicy, we both loved it. We also had milkshakes and though it takes a little longer to make their shakes, it was worth the wait. The service couldn’t have been any better. We were waited on as soon as we arrived. They offered to bring our shakes out to us, and our dogs and fries only took minutes. The staff was very friendly and the Owner and his son ever checked on us to see if everything was ok with our meals. Nice folks. The atmosphere was bright and cheery. The music was good and the employees all seemed to be happy working and interacting w each other. One last thing. As we were leaving it was closing time and there were plenty of employees there. I saw the owner wiping tables. A great boss would never ask his employees to do any work that he’s not willing to do himself, when needed. I’m thinking he’s probably a pretty good boss. What do I recommend? Huhh

Well to start off, How could you go wrong with walking in the door and straight off the bat get welcomed with a “Hey how are you today” that to me already is an experience right there. Then next, as my family and I approach the register and our outstanding cashier who welcomed us with a smile and a hello was absolutely fabulous. We got our order in and very rarely do you find establishment’s that actually read your order back to you just to make sure everything is correct or there is any errors SPOT ON no mistakes. Now to keep in mind all the food is prepared fresh while you wait, The smiles you get from the workers around you while there making your food also really shows you they take pride in their work. Finally we got our food and sat down and went to town and the food was beyond excellent honestly even my daughter was blown away. I couldn’t find one thing wrong even if I tried.
