The americano here has wonderful flavor and the cheese danish is the best anywhere. The employees are super friendly and always do well with customer service.
I'm a little disappointed & concerned around the lack of transparency around ingredients & sugar content--to my knowledge, as of July 2025 you can't find basic nutrition info on the Summer Moon website. In the age of information where even mom-and-pop shops can get a nutrition menu up, this is a red flag.
I started looking into it based on a friend's light-headedness following having coffee with a significant moon milk content. Based on some internet searches (since this information does not appear to be readily available on the website) the moon milk may be fairly close to straight sugar.
Compare this to a typical latte for example: protein is higher when normal 2% or whole milk is used and these differences change how the drink is metabolized.
Summer Moon as a corporation would do better with putting transparent nutrition info on their website so people can make informed decisions.
To be on the safe side, until Summer Moon is more transparent with their ingredients and nutrition content, I would recommend sticking with traditional formulations (e.g., skip the moon milk and just go with normal milk for a latte) if sugar content affects you at all. And again, the americano is delightful.
ETA: Adding some disclosures, you never know. I am not a medical, nutrition or legal professional and am not representing myself as such. I am simply a customer and a friend of a customer who was having issues and feel I need to put this info out there. Summer Moon could just do everyone a solid and be transparent and that would clear all of this up.
After further research, it appears that labeling the special ingredient "milk" without disclosing sugar content could potentially fall under failure to disclose material facts and/or material omission as anyone who hears the word "milk" might reasonably assume a set nutrition content with an expected outcome which would be different from a term like "moon syrup" for example.
Again, I am not a professional in anything having to do with any of this. Just a...

Read moreI moved from Lockhart to here over a year ago, so you can imagine my delight when I discovered there was a Summer Moon place not too far from me! Great drinks, baristas were very nice. Didn't disappoint there. Also witnessed a barista correctly remember a regular's order which was a nice moment. It is a very small space. I could see a wheelchair user having an issue getting to the counter, but I didn't see that, so that won't be included in the stars review. You will hear every conversation. If you aren't going with a friend, I would recommend bringing headphones if you are staying for awhile. The parking lot fills up quick, but as far as I know, the Dollar General nearby doesn't care if you park there. The atmosphere runs very Christian/Christian-adjacent. Almost every conversation I heard was about church. Everyone was nice and polite though. I'd recommend this place as long as you can get there on more of an off-hour when not too many people are there or honestly, if you are Christian and looking for a church. If you have a choice of White Rhino or...
