I had eaten here last year, on the patio and absolutely loved it. So, for my son's graduation dinner, I wanted to bring him here and sit on the patio. I called and made the reservations, and the person on the phone even read them back to me.....my name, # of people, 6 pm on the patio. We get there and go to be seated and she takes us to a table in the dining room. I said no, I have reservations for the patio. She says, but you aren't a member, those tables are reserved for members. I said, when I called, at one point in the conversation the person did ask if I was a member and I said no. Nothing further was said during the conversation, and as I stated, she confirmed the reservation for the patio. I tried explaining this to the hostess and it didn't matter. She said, I can put you at a hi-top on the patio with no umbrella. I settled for that. We get to the table, and it's a wicker table, wicker stools, no backs, missing the glass top and with a huge glob of bird poop on it. She never offered to have someone clean it. When the waitress came out, I had to ask for someone to clean it. Because there was no glass top on the table we spent the entire meal watching our beverages wobble back and forth, hoping they didn't fall. The food was ok. The waitress was wonderful!!!! I wish I remembered her name. She was the only nice part about the experience. If they had told me when I called that we couldn't sit on the patio, I wouldn't have made the reservations. I could have sat outside Marley's, and their food is better anyhow. So, long story short, if you ate on their patio before and loved it, and you are not a member, you don't qualify to sit there again. Won't...
Read moreI would give this place a zero if I could. My husband and I live very close so we have tried place a few times. The first time we went was shortly after it opened. I ordered a drink from the bar and it came with a giant black fly in the bottom of it- I was disgusted, and we were sitting at the bar none the less. I confronted the barkeeper about it and they offered to make me another drink. Fine. The meal was average. Then in another dining experience my husband ordered a cheesesteak. The bun was so soggy and he said something to the waitress who then replied “well, I like my cheesesteaks soggy”. Like are you kidding?!?! Anyone who has ever eaten a cheesesteak knows they are NOT supposed to be soggy, it was also bizarre that she was defending the restaurants mistake. They didn’t offer to replace it or comp it. I also ordered a French onion soup because that is my favorite soup, and when I tried it it tasted like it was made with some weird cheese that is NOT supposed to be on a French onion soup. I did not complain about that because I didn’t want to be that couple that complains about everything when they go out. Then the third time we visited, we came before the dinner rush. We were greeted by two female hostesses who asked us “How long do you think you will be? We have a large party coming in”. First of all that’s extremely rude to rush customers out, second, as my husband put it- they have control of how fast we are in and out, and third we are only two people and the entire restaurant was nearly empty! We will never go back, and it’s a shame because it’s so...
Read moreThis was a disappointing experience to say the least. I looked at the menu and prices online, and made reservations for mothers day. When I made the reservations, it was difficult to find a time as they were "booked" so we settled on 4:30. When we arrived, there were only three tables occupied of the many that were available. We were surprised to find that it was a buffet. They had many what would have been great dishes on the buffet had they been even luke warm. All of the dishes were cold. Cold meat. It was all fairly tastless and without any sauce to make up for the dry, cold prime rib or fish. The "salad bar" literally only had lettuce, a couple spoonfuls of cheese and bacon. All the other veggies and toppings were gone. Our beer arrived fairly quick from the bartender, but my son and mother waited ten minutes into our meal for their drinks from the waitress. I had planned on leaving a minimal tip for our waitress since she only visited our table twice and was very delayed on the drinks. Not to mention, we were serving ourselves. In the end, our bill was $40 per plate and gratuity was already added for about another 40. I don't mind spending good money on good food and service, but this was neither. Not even close. I looked for a manager to speak with on our way out but there was nobody to speak with. Oh, there were still at least ten empty tables when we left. I guess we could have had a table at 5:00 when we wanted. We will definitely...
