Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Memphis

When I tell you some ppl are just low down !!! I literally waited 15min on food , just for them to tell me they don’t have spicy chicken at the moment , I was ok with getting the regular chicken … I checked my bag I didn’t see my gravy and my $5 box was incorrect ! So that’s a total of 3 things wrong ! I got out the car to bring it to their attention , I stated “I also didn’t get my gravy” Regina replied and said “oh she didn’t ring you up for it “ it’s $1 I said ok , can you just give it to me for the inconvenience (the only reason I asked is bc I left my purse in the car , .. she said “no mam” I said ok can you print my receipt so I can make sure I wasn’t charged for the gravy , yall this lady took about 5 min trying to get my receipt .. like wow the things ppl do to go out their way to be low down ! She could of easily just gave me the dang cup of gravy ! So I said well since you didn’t have my spicy , can I get it now since you NOT letting up on that gravy ! she say “it’s about another 10 min on it .. like wow u literally wanted me to wait again on chicken 😩🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Regina if you see this message , your a poor excuse of a manager ! And you need to have some type of heart in customer service.. bc yall was wrong 3 times matter a fact 4 bc I did place the order for the gravy but your drive thru cashier didn’t ring it in 🤦‍♀️...

New review 07/18/19 @9:45 pm the lady over the drivethru speaker didn't ask to take my order but instead told me it would be 45 minutes "on chicken." I asked what time did they close. She replied 11 and that they were cooking all orders as they were placed. 45 minutes for fast food chicken is quite the opposite. When did restaurants stop selling food an hour and 15 minutes before closing? This is simply a deterrent so that customers won't order and the employees can prepare for closing so that they leave directly at closing time. The lights on the food warmers were off however the menu board outside was lit. The absolute worse eatery on 3rd. This place even has McDonald's at 3rd and Brooks beat.....and I didn't think there could be any worse place than that!!!! The owners should make a late night visit during the week to this location!!!!

Was close to closing and had a big not huge order. I was given a choice of sides from the remainer of what was left. Although I waited more than 20 minutes, I didn't receive double fries as ordered. Just extra, extra biscuits. Not mine but my husband's favorite...

Make no mistake, church’s chicken is world class when it comes to chicken, and that’s why this review isn’t a one star. But the drive thru mic was borderline incomprehensible for both parties, and somehow they’re out of napkins. Left utensils out of order, so I wonder if they’re running low on those too. They wanted $2.79 for a cup of ice water… at least the cashier gave us the heads up before we ordered that. I don’t understand how such a great product can have such a poor operational structure… how do you run out of napkins selling such juicy fried chicken off the bone? I’ll try another location but steer clear of this one.

A lot of reviews mention the staff’s nasty attitude, which I can confirm, but I can’t imagine I would be able to muster up a great attitude working at a fried chicken place with all these problems. There’s a serious, systemic problem that I can only assume the poor customer service is...
