Mendon's Diner & Tap — Restaurant in Mendon

Usually this is a very nice place to eat. Tonight was not. Went in to celebrate my kids becoming a 5th and 3rd grader expecting the normal homey greeting and service that we have always gotten in the past. When we walked in, the waitress barely looked up to greet us. We ordered our food which was the chicken noodle special of the night. She brought out our food, which was cold, like it had been sitting there for awhile. Asked for it to be reheated. She acted like it was a great inconvience. We also had ordered a chef salad with double toppings on it like we do 3 or 4 times a month. She brought it out, it had very little toppings on it. I told her it always has way more than this. She kept disagreeing with me. We had to ask for the egg that is supposed to come on it, we had to ask for the rolls that were supposed to come with the specials, and had to ask 3 times for a refill for one glass of soda. It was not busy at all in there either. I also heard her tell the cook, which was new by the way, that she was tired of hearing about the salad. Needless to say, the owner will be getting a call tomorrow. We have never been treated this way in the past. Not happy at all.
