Star Burger — Restaurant in Mendota

All the photo reviews show the place with no customers. Last time i was there, i was undercharged and then was told i owed $9 more because of their mistake taking my order, (even after saying keep the change as tip, like $12). Then only got 2 drinks when we made 3 orders, and the drinks, i had to be our own waiter. She brought the drinks and set them on the counter and said, heres ur drinks. I was like, wer the only ones in here, u can see where wer sittin. So i had to get up and get em myself. Then she brought the orders out to the counter and said, heres ur orders, and i had to get up and get those too. Then she came back out and said, would u like some katchup, i said yes please, and she pointed down to the counter and said, the packets are right over here. And i was like, what the heck, i paid a generous tip and gota serve ourself. So i made sure to leave everything on the tray when finished and i just left the table and tray right on the table. She can clean it all up and earn that generous...

I've eaten at tons of restaurants and cafes in California and other states and have to say hands down, Star Burger is THEE best burger restaurant on the west side of Fresno County. Sure there are your typical chain-food, franchised burger restaurants in town with there slow service, over salted fries and bland food. But there is nothing like this place anywhere near to be found. In the 60's and 70's it was called Hailey's Drive-in, then Martinez Drive-in with both serving excellent burgers and food and now with the hard work of the current owners of Star Burger, it has continued to satisfy your taste buds. I got they're chicken salad for the first time today, man! It was good. It's not your average lettuce, spinach, avocado, olive oil salad but it's in the same ranking for me. Their lettuce is so perfectly shredded and tastes good not old like other places. They cut their chicken into pieces. They give you 3 ranches and it's so simply (lettuce, tomatoe, chicken & shredded cheese) but so so good....
