Belly Up Bar — Restaurant in Menomonee Falls

Regularly we drive into surrounding area looking for great fish fry's and Fried Chicken dinners. *Majority of our weekly menu consists of healthy, organic foods so this is always a treat. Tonight we chose Belly Up Bar in Menomonee falls, WI. WOW! We walked in, small quant atmosphere, a little crowded but friendly people all around us. The waitress apologized for the wait (we really hadn't waited more than 5 minites), she checked on us throughout the meal but not the point of being annoying. The food ... reasonably priced, perfectly cooked and it's definitely the place to go for an old fashioned. This speaking from a healthy, fit 40 year old. I'm excited...

This place isn't very big, but you have to appreciate feeling like part of the family when you come here.

As for the food, we both got the three piece Beer-Battered Cod Dinner and thought it was very average. Nothing stood out, tarter sauce was bland and I was missing my rye bread. Fries and beer were good though!

The service was great our first time, which is what brought us back, but definitely lacked on our second visit. I like the townie feel of the bar, so we will probably come back, but I won't expect a lot...

We had their Fish Fry on Friday...AH-MAZING! We've gone to a lot of fish frys in the area, and Belly Up's was probably one of the best we've EVER had! Fish was very tender and crispy, fries were great, and the coleslaw was a perfect combination! We ordered everything to go (it was still hot when we got home even) because we had a little one with us that was getting antsy, otherwise we would of most definitely stayed for the exceptional atmosphere!
