We love this place you try to eat here least once a month sometimes twice but it’s been a while because of life stuff. We stopped in today, May 19 and the food was great but the service was terrible. The guy behind the counter, rude to my mother. She asked about the vegan options again and he said we don’t have any really rude to her not that they got rid of them because they didn’t sell this we don’t have any. Real mean my brother was on the phone and said ask about the vegan hotdog. He said we have it. We have vegetarian hotdogs she asked the brand he shrugged his shoulders like he didn’t care I didn’t know he didn’t even ask anybody what it was. The reason were asking what brand it was because some have wheat in it. My mother has celiac disease and some of those hotdogs have wheat in them and we know the brand we’re just asking. Now if I was there, I probably would’ve canceled the order walked out. There’s no need for any that .we do come there support you guys. I have bought food from the guys when you were at festivals he did not have to be rude to my mother about that. I understand that vegan food does not sell well that’s why people stop selling it. You didn’t have to treat her like that. We probably will not be back after that because we spend a lot of money there today and I understand prices are high because of food cost I understand food cost but I’ve had to take your money...
Read moreLove the concept, And the decor is really nice as well! Just wish the food lived up to the hype! We were super exited to give them a try after hearing good things! The service was great and very friendly staff, and the food came out fast. But the taste just wasn’t there. Also didn’t feel that the value was there for what we ordered, two hotdogs and order of pizza bites for $18 a little steep IMO. The hotdogs in my opinion we’re overdone, I did a build your own with bacon and cheese with a cheddar brat, we bit into our dawgs and they were very tough and kind of rubbery, the bun was good, the toppings were average nothing very special to give the dog more flavor or enhance it at all. My wife got the Irish dog and was disappointed with it as well. We also ordered the pizza bites and they were fried well and done properly but unfortunately all you tasted was that fried taste. I give three starts for the friendly staff and well decorated and clean space. Just hope the quality of the food improves and they can stick around a while! Unfortunately we’re going to have to stick with scooters! But maybe one day we’ll give them another chance! Wish them nothing...
Read moreI recently stopped in at Dynamite Dawg for the first time. I met some people there who favorably compared it to scooters.
As a test hot dog I ordered a Chicago dog. It should be noted the dogs here are not kosher for those who are concerned with such things. The dogs appear to only come in one size, which is slightly thicker if normal length hot dog. I also ordered some Buffalo spuds (French fries.)
The dog itself was notably divorced from any concept I had of a Chicago dog. It was, to be frank (pun intended,) as though they had read an archaic text about a Chicago dog and tried to imitate it and generally did a poor job of it.
The Buffalo spuds, however, were massive. One serving of those could easily serve two people. They were an inspired interpretation of combing Buffalo wings with fries and was absolutely amazing.
Overall the service and cleanliness was pretty good. With the mixed review on the food, I think I will give it a green light, but a...
