Country Cream Drive-In — Restaurant in Mer Rouge

This place has been here for as long as I can remember & their ice cream has always been one of my favorites! Anytime I’m in the area I try to go by there to get a cup of ice cream. I’ve never been a fan of any of the other food/drinks I’ve tried but I love their ice cream. Some days can be pretty busy so you may have to wait a little while but it’s worth it. Just be sure to take your time pulling in the parking lot & especially if you go through the drive thru bc they potholes are so deep your vehicle will scrape the ground if you accidentally run off in one. They are terrible & always have been. I recommend hanging a left when you come out of the drive thru; it’s not as bad that way if you can get thru. The past 2 days I have went there and waited for 15 minutes in line. The first day they saw me at the window and ignored me like they were hoping I would leave. even told me that they saw me but they were trying to close down. I got there 30 minutes before closing. All I needed were 3 milkshakes for me and my husband and son. Today, I wanted a milkshake but because I have a baby, I have to use the drive thru and sat there while everyone that even showed up after me got their ice cream.. We absolutely love this place, I thought I did a review on this not long ago but I guess I did not. I don’t get to make it out this way very often, but when I do, I have to remember to bring cash because that’s all they accept. Normally I wouldn’t go out of my way to to inconvenience myself for such a luxury. However, this is a childhood staple of mine. We mainly get the ice cream, how can you not.
