The Mustang Bar — Restaurant in Mercer

We heard about this venue being a great place to eat. So, we rode our cycles from New Bethlehem to check it out. Cool looking saloon style, rustic barn board, and keg barrel tables. Smoking allowed inside. First off, we had to wipe our beer drenched menus! Our Waitress, who was also the bartender, was more interested in her phone than greeting us with a "Hi folks, have a seat. I'll be right with you." (3 people at the bar, that were just drinking & a few playing pool) Not a big crowd. MENU: Simple bar food nothing crazy. Wings, hoagie subs, burger's, pizza... She explained what she knew, and being the kind of menu, it should have been a no Brainer! Had to ask for silverware and asked for sugar twice for our unsweetened ice T... Bathrooms were very clean. Instead of bringing the bill to the table, she told us that we need to come get the bill at the bar. Why? I don't know- In my opinion, that establishment should have had some kind of sports on their TV. Instead, SpongeBob SquarePants was playing on 2 big screens! Not a kid friendly environment! That being said, if ya wanna play pool and drink like a cowboy- Mustangs...

Just moved to Mercer County and this place is high on our list. We have eaten alot of food here during our move-in process... wings, pizza, hoagies, bologna sandwich, wedge's, homemade soups. etc.... ZERO COMPLAINTS.....our 1st time in, they didn't have the kind of beer they we like to drink. No biggie. Second time, still didn't carry IPA'S. third time (within 2 weeks) the manager, Emily, said "if you are going to me coming in here this often, I'll start caring IPA's for you. What kind do you want?" Seriously, now that's service!!! And to boot. We've made quite a few friends here. Does the bar have a sordid history? Ehhh....we hear it was a little rough back in the day. But things change, so don't believe everything you hear. We've had nothing but good times, good food, good service and fun at this place. Stop in and...

My l9cal one and only bar I go to. The bartenders are always moving and dealing with people like myself all day. But some how smile and laugh at our dumb jokes and stories. The staff is one of a kind. The food is every blue collar workers dream after 12 hr day with a couple cold beers to finish the day. Love this place...
