Fat Willy's University & Hawes Viewpoint Golf Resort — Restaurant in Mesa

Our table of 4 was greeted promptly at 645 on a Friday night and our waiter was very attentive. Order placed food and drinks arrived quickly and we were off to a good time. Somewhere mid meal we were ready ready for another round, but couldn't locate our waiter. After a bit of time, one of our party finally went to the bar for drinks and to go boxes, where she was told it was 8:02 and they wouldn't serve any more drinks, even though the place was half full and they were still serving food. What? Our waiter suddenly appeared, apologetically and with the bill, and explained they closed at 8:00, although other locations were open later if we'd like to head there. I guess this location made enough money that day and wasn't interested in any more. The food was ok, but not enough for get me back here next time I'm in time for a visit. I'll take my money to a small business that values...

There was all of 8 people In the place, ordered a mushroom swiss burger and eventually a Tito tonic. People that came in after me were not only served 1st but had finished while I still waited. The barmaid apologized and said the computer had crashed at one point and I told her no problem, but a good 10 minutes later still no burger. Had to have been 35 or 40 minutes in total when she came back a 3rd time with some other excuse, I asked what I owed for the drink and she said $8.15, no comp, couldn't hardly believe it. Living in the park I've spent a ton of money in that place and typically the food is decent and the service is excellent. This happened on Friday the 10th around 3 while most people were over at the live music scene by the pool. Should have known when I walked in the door... My dad was staying at View Point and I was in town visiting so we decided to head over to Fat Willy's for dinner on 4/1/2017. When we entered I'd say about 1/2 the tables were dirty and still covered with dishes and no patrons. We took a seat at the bar... the bar was still dirty and there were glasses and dishes all over as well. We sat there for about 10 minutes and not once did any of the 4 or 5 people walking around behind the bar stop and say they'd be with us shortly or ask if we needed food or drink. After the 10 minutes of waiting we got up and walked out and found somewhere else to eat... and I recommend you do the same!! Horrendous service and I...
