After driving by this place for years, Hubby and I dropped by for lunch to finally try it. It's in an older building which doesn't do much for the eyes, but they maintain a clean facility. I actually thought they were closed. It is a family owned business, he states they've been serving the community for 5 yrs. We both ordered the 2 filet fish basket, which comes with (fries, toast, pickles & jalapenos)and a small Kool aid. The Kool aid came with a warning ⚠️😂 Becareful because it's sweet. We decided to try our luck with the Kool aid, so we ordered the small to be on the safe side. The gentleman who took our order was very welcoming and helpful. He said they drop the orders as they go, so our meal will only take a few minutes and they make their own tartar sauce (regular/spicy). The dining area is open, so we decided to dine in and he brought our food out to us when it was ready. OMG 😳 both hubby and I were pleasantly surprised by how well seasoned everything was, the portion size, and it was straight outta the fryer hot. ⚠️🔥 The Kool aid was sweet/amazing (tropical & blue raspberry). It was a time machine to my childhood that made me want more. Dang I should have got the large 😁 Everything was delicious 😋 I'm glad we finally stopped by and we will definitely be back to try more and for their Sunday menu, which according to the gentleman is always different. Very friendly staff and cool vibes. We loved listening to the R&B music as we ate. They also, have a foosball/ pool table to enjoy at your leisure and they sell Kool aid pickles/cakes. You've got to come try it👍👍 $5.00 minimum order & .50 cent service charge if you pay with a credit card. Sunday, March 5, 2023- Hubby and I went back for Soul food Sunday. The menu is different every Sunday. You also have the option to call in your order or order thru the drive-thru. They were pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our food. I had the ribs w/broccoli cheese casserole, green beans and hubby had the turkey wings w/dressing and greens. This time I got the large Kool aid. 😁 Our food was delish and well seasoned. The meat was falling off the bone and tender. My cornbread was dry and my green beans were canned, but they were still good. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. 👍👍 Friday, March 17-Everything was delicious and the portion sizes are good for the price. The kool-aid wasn't tasting quit right, so I had the sweet tea instead. The staff is very polite. Sept. 20, 2023- The catfish is the bomb! You can't go wrong with the catfish. I called ahead and picked up my food in the drive thru 🤤 Tuesday, Feb.20,2024-Picked up dinner for me and the hubby. A catfish and pork chop basket. 😋

If you’re craving Southern comfort and down-home hospitality, look no further than Sunday Morning This hidden gem serves up some of the best catfish you’ll ever taste—crispy, golden, and seasoned to perfection. Every dish feels like it was made with love, just like grandma used to cook. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff treats you like family from the moment you walk through the door—friendly smiles, quick, and genuine conversations that make you feel right at home. Don’t sleep on Soul Food Sundays! It’s a full-on feast with all the fixins! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in town—this place is the real deal. Southern food, soul, and smiles all in one spot!

Original Review: Cons: 1st visit my catfish nuggets were over fried, french fries soggy and not seasoned. Bread soggy from pickle and jalapeno juice. The employee asked me several times how I was paying and confused on what I ordered then left the lid open on my food. Pros: 2nd visit complementary order: African American small business owned. Large quantity, catfish nuggets are cooked fresh and not over cooked this time. The owner Chris was very sweet, personable and went over and beyond to satisfy me and put a smile on my face. She put my pickles and jalapenos in a separate container along with my bread. The tarter sauce is unique and they provide complementary Non GMO ketchup.

First of all I want to say that I am a supporter of black Owned businesses. My daughter and I are constantly looking into ways to do that. Now I said all that to say this; as black business owners, in particular, fast food restaurants, we have got to do better. My daughter and I visited Howards Catfish, and it was not a good experience. After I had placed my order, then my daughter was in the middle of giving her order, when the owner who apparently was in the middle of taking a phone order, interrupts the young lady that was taking my daughter's order, for her to take down the cell phone information of the person that he was in conversation with. After she had taken down the information, she then returned to finish up my daughter's order. In the meantime, I could still hear the owner telling the person on the phone how much the order would be, that it was enough to feed five people, and that it would be about twenty minutes. It was then that my daughter and I went and sat at a small table by the window in their dining area. Okay, there happened to be a dead fly in the window, yuck. The young lady brought my order over to the table about 15 minutes or so after I had initially placed the order. I then decided to wait until she brought my daughter's order out, before eating. Well needless to say, I had to start without her. After about 30 minutes or so and still no food for her, I put two and two together. Apparently the $45.00 phone order had upstaged and taken presidence over my daughter's fish and shrimp salad! It was then that a gentleman and his son walked in to pickup that huge order, which just substantiated what I believed had happened. Finally, after about 40 minutes had passed since her initial order, her order was brought over to the table, the young lady told my daughter that they had run out of ranch dressing, but as soon as he got back from wherever he had to go to get it, she would bring it over, wow!!!!! Are you freaking kidding me????? So we are suppose to wait until someone goes to the store and comes back with some dang ranch dressing, smdh!!!!! Customer Service is also a vital part in the operation of a business; please don't put it on the back burner, just because you can cook up some fish, shrimp, chicken, and fries. Speaking of which, if the crust of the fish was removed; which was very flavorful, then what was underneath was the very bland meat. Never say never, but not again anytime...

Went for some pork chops, chicken tenders, and a hot link basket for me and my boo last night. I called my order in but still had to wait as it was crazy busy. No problem the food is always worth the wait. After a lil while my order was brought to my car by a nice young man who repeated my order before he handed it to me which made me think I didn't need to check to verify. When I got home ,however, I noted that all three orders were catfish. My fiance hates catfish with a passion. I tried to call but they are were already closed. I also sent a text message BC at this point I was desperate (lol). I drove back there by this time its 10:20 and they are cleaning to head home. Luckily someone came to speak with me in the drive through. They immediately apologized and begin to prepare my correct order. They told me the couldn't take the food they already gave me BC of health code reasons which was fine. I ended up taking the catfish to my dads who lived right around the corner(lol). While waiting the man whose food I received pulled up stating he had the wrong order. They were very polite to him and remade his order as well. The next morning I get a call back from Sunday Morning checking to see if I was OK as she seen the text message of me getting the wrong order. This restaurant knows how to treat it's customers. Its very rare that restaurants follow up with you the next morning just to make sure the customer is happy. I was really pleased with the customer service and the food was delicious as always. My fiance is now obsessed with the chicken tenders. this was his first time trying out Sunday Morning and he is excited about "Soul Food Sunday's". Please go visit this Black Owned Business they treat their customers right even when...
