The White House restaurant was an amazing dining experience with great service. The food was homemade, delicious, and filling with some of the favorites being the house salad with the house salad balsamic dressing, and the soup (it was chicken noodle) and bread buffet. We arrived in Meyersdale hungry after biking the GAP trail and were recommended White House by the hosts at Yoder House B&B. We called in and the woman who answered the phone was very helpful and suggested we text "Mike" for a shuttle over. Sure enough, Mike picked us up at Yoder's and drove us back there after our meal. White House had a surprisingly great cocktail list, all made my Mike, and a good selection of beers and wines. After a long day of biking, this restaurant was exactly what we needed. Homemade comfort food with good portions and the right price.

First time trying. For this small town, it was an excellent experience 👌. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cute yet not what I expected. It seems like it was a house turned into a "fancy" restaurant. The prices were more than we expected based on the "cover" of the place. (Diner meets New York prices). The fried haddock seemed kinda small, but other than that, the soup and bread bar was great, the crab stuffed mushrooms were very very good. The maple salmon was tasty, and the desserts looked amazing. We tried the lemon merengue, yum!

We had their French onion soup, a typical house salad and their Chesapeake chicken, which was chicken topped with crab. My wife had chicken which was topped with Parmesan cheese and artichokes and also cole slaw. She said it was a bit sweet but good. Our chicken dishes were cooked perfectly and we enjoyed our meal and the service. (it did take a bit to get seated because of how popular the restaurant is, but not any more than some chain restaurants.) Reservations are recommended, but we did not know that coming into it.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here while biking a segment of the Allegheny Gap Trail. It started with creative autumn cocktails (sangria with apple cider, and something amazing made from maple syrup and whisky). Then beef barley soup and fresh bread from the included soup/bread bar. Shrimp scampi, breaded haddock and tasty salads. And homemade desserts (brought around on a tray so we could see them). Super-friendly, family-style service. Prices are a bit more "city" than "country" but we found them completely justified for the value. Looking forward to returning next time we're...
