Degraff Creamery — Restaurant in Miami Township

Been coming here for years with my family to stop and get ice cream on our way through town. Don't know if the management changed, but their service is now HORRIBLE. We came in for ice cream this past trip and there were three people working, one table of guests. So we waited patiently because we saw they were taking plates to the table. 5 minutes past, 10 minutes past and a young woman finally comes to get us for our ice cream. However, as soon as she started taking our order at the counter, some large old man grumbled and told her "don't worry about the ice cream get these plates." Once again, we understood and waited 5 more minutes with not even another look in our direction. We left without ice cream and loudly made it know we were displeased. Probably won't come again. They made my niece cry and didn't even bother to welcome us into their "creamery," if that's what you want to call it. Didn't even bother to thank us for waiting so patiently or even give us a time frame of when we would be helped. If your passing through, skip it. Better places deserve your business. We love DeGraff Creamery. It's remarkable how good the servers are. One server can wait on 10 or more tables, and we all get what we need when we need it.

I love watching how the servers know the regulars, too. I'll hear them joking and calling them by their name. It's just a fun place to be.

We like the food too. It's down home cookin'. I especially like their homemade French fries and their Swiss mushroom burger.

We were out with my mother-in-law. She wanted to see old friends and we thought ice sounded good. So we ended up at the creamery. It was a quite cozy ice cream plus eatery .eat in or carry out.
