Just 1 hour from Columbus! These pancakes were atleast 12 inches across! We were visiting the antique malls in the area and came here for lunch. My leftovers took up the entire box. #travel #ohio #restaurant #breakfast #lunch #rustic #columbus #cincinnati #dayton #foodtiktok #vlog #pancakes #fy

Final visit after 28 years 😄. Chose a regular old Tuesday night to take my teen daughter to this place, and there were a billion people there. I am shocked the owners of this business haven't come up with a better business strategy, such as limiting the number of tickets that can be sold each night, or some other plan. Diminishing marginal utility; whatever gains they are making from selling billions of tickets will be lost due to the lack of crowd control and the inevitable incidents that will flow from that. This is not something to ignore, it is clearly unmanageable at this point. For example, it was very difficult to see the displays due to human bodies, and the human bodies would not move along and make room for other human bodies. One wrong step backwards, and you could accidentally step on a child or trip over a stroller. While in line to see the Santa Claus house, I literally felt a woman standing behind me climb up onto my back and cough all over me. I remained totally neutral, and my teen daughter and I communicated our shared acknowledgment of the act through our silent eye contact. It's Christmas 🌲. The Christmas shop was just shoulder-to-shoulder people, with no way to move in any direction, whatsoever. Inside, I patiently waited to cut across the traffic (the sea of people) who were heading in one direction, by waiting for a small break in human bodies. I was making my way to the back balcony as my daughter followed behind me. A "Karen" standing in the line decided to unleash the rage of her unhappy life onto me by scolding me....apparently her preference was that I simply bulldoze my way through the line of people; she felt it necessary to school me - right then and there - on how to walk through a crowd. I made my way to the balcony without incident (photo attached). When leaving the place, I had to inch my way out of the driveway, putting my car in drive & reverse to escape a telephone pole without hitting parked cars. Our family has had enough memories here, and will not return without this business improving their strategy for crowd control.

Drove over 2hr for the light show. Arrived early to eat lunch at the Mill and the restaurant was very neglected and dirty looking. Ladies restroom toilet was clogged w poo. Couldn't even take pictures out the window by our table bc of all the dirt and cobwebs on the glass. Food was mediocre. My husband asked for well done burger, no pink. It was just shy of raw inside. Service was just ok. Items in the gift shop were way overpriced. Cost 10 each (15 if we had been Thur -Sun) just to see the lights then they had blocked off all the areas to take good photos of the building. Even put some weird grating on the windows of the bridge only on the side facing the mill so no pics from there either. Told by waitress be there by 5 to see lights at 6 got there at 5 and Sat around in the dark doing nothing for an hour other than getting in a long line for a tiny cup of 5$ hot chocolate in a styrofoam cup. So felt like they told us to be early just to sell overpriced hot drinks and snacks. The pretzel was cold and cheese dip disgusting. Very disappointed overall. Just made the best of it. Went hiking after lunch until 5 which was best part of trip. Lights were pretty and enjoyable but light show just about 3 minutes. Then just looking at lights trying to take pics. Wasn't worth it. Not to mention the Santa display room was all dirty and dusty and most of the mechanical stuff wasn't running. It all just looked run down. I feel if they are gonna charge 10-15 each to get in and see the Mill and lights they could at least make it clean and nice. Maybe have something to do while waiting too. Some entertainment or some booths.... something. If you live nearby go see the lights but don't go out of your way, eat somewhere else, and bring a thermos w hot drink.

My wife has never been to Clifton Mill to eat so on our way home from visiting my parents we stopped in for lunch. (NOTE WE WILL NOT RETURN). So right off the bat we walked in and it was a Saturday so not to busy, we were told it would be a 10 min wait, not a big deal, so after 20 min of waiting with no apology for the wait time we were seated. The waitress came and asked what we would like to drink so we told her, when she came back she d (TOSSED) our straws in the middle of the table and light weight kind of slammed our drinks on the table causing mine to spill onto the table a little bit. (RUDE). My wife and daughter both ordered the same thing (grilled chicken breast sandwich & fries) I being the Ruben Sandwich fanatic ordered just that, with fries. During us ordering our meal I asked the waitress if she could provide me with the price of a whole cheese cake that they have, and she said she thought it was $40 so I told her that would be fine could you add that to our bill and bring it to us when the check comes, she said yes. So the food came, now she informed us the chicken sandwich comes with a side of mayo, which is fine. So the side of mayo turned out to be a mayo packet, not 2 or 3, just 1, the chicken sandwich was so dry my daughter ate 1/2 then was done and my wife did the same, we asked for more mayo this time they gave us 2 more packets!!! Now as of the Ruben, OMG the most god awful sandwich EVER. It looked as if they put the meat in a blender and set it on puree, nasty. So this being said no tip was given even after a $67 bill. Now as of the cheesecake it was not on the bill, I asked the waitress if she could add the cheesecake to my bill so I am not paying twice and if she could bring me the cake, she came back 2 min later and said "sorry, we only have 2 slices left"??? Why wouldn't you check that when I requested it and another thing it was on their desert menu. So I waited the whole time to be told "hey we don t have it. LONG STORY SHORT lol we will not be going back. Which is sad because this place use to have the best food and staff, I guess that is what you get when you have poor attitude...
