Cheat Day Sweets — Restaurant in Michigan

Melissa is awesome and her desserts were amazing!!!! She changed the frosting color and ribbon color on desserts to match wedding colors. I was so busy running around during my sister’s reception, I was only able to snag an Oreo Truffle and OMG!!!! It was to die for!!! So moist and delicious and the outer chocolate shell was so good!! I also got to try the frosted sugar cookie and that was SOOOO good as well! Everyone was raving about the desserts and trying to steal them to go 😆 My sister and her fiancé only wanted a small cake for them to cut into and then bring home to freeze for the 1st anniversary ritual, so I didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount on a cake. For the size Melissa made us, which was 8”x6”, she only charged $45 😱 such a great price for the quality!!!! I was expecting double that for sure! So I love that she keeps her prices down and doesn’t overcharge her customers. I wanted a rustic look to the frosting and she matched the pic I sent her to a T. I think it was the apple Carmel cake with cinnamon buttercream frosting and my sister and her husband LOVED it! She even made some samples for them to try ahead of time in order to pick their cake. I have no words that can truly express how much we absolutely loved working with Melissa. I reached out just over a year ago and booked with her; then as we got closer to our May 10th wedding I began working with her on what would work best for us and our wedding. Her communication is TOP NOTCH!! She even responded while dealing with a family situation just to let me know what was happening and that she wasn’t ignoring me; and then STILL got back to me within 24 hours; just absolutely a God send.

Desserts: OMG!! 10000/10! So good! Our guests are STILL talking about it almost 2 weeks later; one guest loved it so much he’s having his wife do something similar for his birthday coming up. Our wedding cake?? I died and went to heaven, I’ve never tasted something so delicious and beautiful in my life. Absolutely amazing work and we cannot say enough great things and cannot recommend Cheat Day...

My husband and I are not big fans of cake, so we decided to do a dessert bar at our wedding. Melissa went all out. We asked for a variety of different desserts, and that is exactly what she gave us. People are still talking about how great the desserts were: kids and adults! We wanted to do a small cake cutting, and Melissa went out of her way to try something she had never done before to make my vision come true. And it turned out perfect! She quickly replied to messages throughout the planning process and was on top of it more than I was. She was on time to set up, came late at night with to-go boxes and helped pack it all up. My favorites were the chocolate chip cookies and monster cookies. The next day I ate the last red velvet cupcake…and I could’ve eaten 10 more. Next time I’m in GR, I’m ordering a dozen for myself. I highly recommend her and cannot wait to work with her again...
